A method and apparatus for displaying data at an incident scene is provided herein. During operation an officer will be assigned to a particular incident having an identified 'incident type'. Individuals at the incident scene are identified via facial recognition and criminal histories for all recognized individuals are obtained. The incident type will be used to determine criminal histories relevant to the incident type. Only the criminal histories of those individuals at the incident scene that are relevant to the incident type will be displayed (ideally displayed proximate to the identified individuals).

A method and apparatus for PTT over IoT is described herein. During operation each IoT device will be assigned to a talkgroup. Some talkgroups may have a single IoT device assigned, and other talkgroups may have multiple IoT devices assigned. During operation, an action command is received over a first talkgroup and a first command type is issued to a first IoT device assigned to that talkgroup. A second action command is received over a second talkgroup and a second command type is issued to a second IoT device assigned to the second talkgroup.

A method and apparatus for coordinating applications between incident-area networks (IANs) are provided herein. During operation an application server (serving as an app store within an IAN) will monitor all IAN Apps stores that are on scene (at an incident). When a connected radio requests particular content from an IAN, the application server will determine a best app store to provide the content. The connected radio will be directed to hand over to the appropriate IAN app store to retrieve the content.
