A work implement for a construction machine includes a collection member, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a plate member coupled to the collection member, the first side wall, and the second side wall. The collection member, the first side wall, the second side wall, and the plate member together define a hollow space. Further, at least one of the first side wall, the second side wall, and the plate member define an opening that communicates with the hollow space. The work implement further includes a sensor mounting system including a cover, a plurality of mechanical fasteners adapted to couple the cover with the work implement, and a sensor mounted on the cover. Upon coupling of the cover with the first side wall, the sensor is partially received within the hollow space.

Work implement for construction machine

An actuated shear pin includes an actuator and pin body coupled to the actuator. The actuator selectively configures the pin body in a locking configuration or a stowed configuration. In the locking configuration, the pin body is placed in a travel path of two components configured to move relative to each other, to inhibit such relative movement. In the stowed configuration, the pin body is out of the travel path, thereby allowing the two components to move relative to each other.

Compact actuated shear pin

A fatigue life optimized modular bucket assembly for a work machine and a method of manufacturing thereof are disclosed. The bucket assembly includes a bucket core having a pair of side sections, a continuous wrapper, a supporting element, and a receptacle; and an extension module having a pair of side bars, a guard module, an edge module, and, optionally, a set of extension plates. The method includes prebuilding the bucket core, receiving an order, providing parts for the extension module, and assembling the bucket core and the extension module parts. The bucket assembly may include universal and customizable components without exhibiting reduction to fatigue life commonly associated with weld seams.

A tip adapter comprises a side throat surface with a variable blend defining a radius of curvature ranging from 200 mm to 270 mm, or a lower nose surface that includes a first planar portion and a second planar portion defining a lower obtuse angle therebetween, or a top throat surface with a top arcuate portion defining a radius of curvature ranging from 100 mm to 300 mm.
