A wheel set assembly having a plurality of sinusoidal channeled wheels. The sinusoidal channeled wheels having a sinusoidal channel disposed around a circular exterior surface of each of the sinusoidal channeled wheels. The wheel set assembly allows for better maneuverability and longevity in comparison to other materials handling equipment wheels because of the sinusoidal channels. The sinusoidal channels also provide heat dissipation along with the ability to push debris out of the way of the materials handling equipment.

Sinusoidal wheel

A frisbee balanced to spin about a central axis has a central portion with a top surface and an opposing bottom surface. The central portion terminates peripherally with a circular rim having a sinusoidal curvature. The central portion conforms to the sinusoidal curvature of the rim forming radial variations of peaks and valleys. Plural sinusoidal cycles of radially directed, convex peaks impart thrust enabling it to float in a chosen direction when thrown and to rotate about its central axis developing lift due to air passing over the generally domed top surface.

A centrifuge has a mechanical drive coupled to a capsule rotatable simultaneously about mutually orthogonal X, Y, and Z axes. A stationary base has a first motor driving a centrally located hub in rotation about the Z axis. The hub has a pair of colinear arms and a pair of struts extending from the arms to support an outer ring. An inner ring is positioned concentric with the outer ring and a second motor is engaged with both the outer ring and inner ring so that it is enabled for rotating the inner ring relative to the outer ring. A third motor is engaged with both the inner ring and the capsule for rotating said capsule relative to the inner ring. The simultaneous rotation of the capsule about all three axes is therefore possible.

Multi-axis centrifuge

A mold for molding an object having a shape, the mold comprising: a top, middle, and bottom bodies, said bodies having peripheral walls, and defining a central vertical axis and an inside cavity surface having same central vertical axis, when said bodies are in mutual contact; and a center hole disposed centrally in a top surface of the top body, the center hole aligning with the vertical central axis; the middle body comprising separate halves that are identical in shape; wherein the inside cavity surface comprises at least one protrusion disposed horizontally along the inside cavity surface, and at least one channel disposed horizontally along the inside cavity surface, the at least one channel being adjacent to the at least one protrusion; wherein, in the presence of a molding compound, the inside cavity surface defines at least a portion of the shape of the object being molded within the mold.

Structural complex mold

A material aligning device having a plurality of sine waves, wherein the sine waves can be in the form of protrusions repeating along an outer surface of a roller. The material aligning device provides an oscillation to the material sheet moving on it to cancel its vibrations, which allows for faster and improved alignment while printing, web converting, and during other similar processes. The material aligning device also relieves the high amount of tension typically necessary for the printing, converting, and other similar material processing using machines. The reduction in tension also reduces the likelihood of the material sheet being overly stretched or for it to rip.

Device and method for aligning material sheets

A spherical centrifuge has a sinusoidal track engaged on its surface, the track circling the surface following a great circle of said centrifuge. A mechanical drive engages the track enabling rotation of the centrifuge. The track may have a constant sinusoidal amplitude and a constant sinusoidal period. The centrifuge may have an interior space and a portal into the interior space. The interior space may have any shape. The centrifuge rotates about its diameter while also reciprocating in rolling motion lateral to its forward rotational direction by following the sinusoidal track.

A wheel having a plurality of lugs mounted in side-by-side positions forms a circular ring where each of the lugs has laterally extending legs forming a V-shape aligned with a rotational axis of the wheel. The lugs may have an outfacing rib aligned with the rotational axis and a further outfacing rib orthogonal to the rotational axis. A circular tensioning cord or strip may join the plurality of lugs. The lugs may be mutually offset around the circular ring in a sinusoidal pattern.

A mold having an upper, medial, and lower bodies with a composite peripheral wall define an inside cavity which may have a complex shape as for instance, with circular protrusions, circular depressions, and axially aligned cylinders. Pour holes are provided for introducing a molding compound into the mold while allowing air to exit the cavity. The medial body may be made of multiple portions. The upper body may be axially lifted off the medial body and the medial body may be laterally moved away from the molded object which enables removal of the complex molded part.

Luggage wheel assembly

A materials handling equipment has blades of a lifting fork wherein each of the blades engages a blade wheel that moves between a retracted position when the blade is lowered and an extended position when the blade is raised to lift and support a load. The blade wheels have a plurality of tires linearly aligned on a common axis, the tires each having a circular circumference and a sinusoidally varying peripheral surface. The sinusoidally varying peripheral surfaces have relative peaks and valleys uniformly spaced around the circular circumference wherein the peaks and valleys are mutually nested.

Compound sinusoidal wheel applicable to materials handling equipment

A circular wheel is aligned in a rotational plane and has a peripheral outfacing surface symmetrical about the plane of rotational. A center line of the width of the peripheral outfacing surface is sinusoidal around the wheel. The wheel may have a central hub, a rim, a medial wheel structure between the hub and the rim, and a tire mounted on the rim. The outfacing surface may be that of the hub, the medial wheel structure, the rim, or the tire depending on the application.
