A data plan associated with the vehicle may be accessed. In turn, a determination may be made on whether the resource identifier is within a preset list of resource identifiers defined by the data plan. The request to the resource identifier may be processed when the resource identifier is within the preset list of resource identifiers defined by the data plan. When no data plan exists for the vehicle or the resource identifier is not in the preset list, denial of the request may be made.

A system and method for determining a safe return to a vehicle that include determining at least one safety feature that is associated to a travel plan that pertains to a user safely returning to the vehicle from a designated location. The system and method also include analyzing sensor data and user input data and determining if there is at least one of: a deviation from the travel plan, an existence of at least one probable safety threat that affects the user, and an existence of at least one emergency that affects the user. One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for connection authentication are provided herein. A mobile device or device may act as an initiator of a connection with a vehicle, which acts as a target. A user utilizing the device may initiate a connection request by launching an application or browser on the device. The device transmits the connection request to the vehicle. The vehicle may receive the connection request and respond with a device identifier (ID) request. A user of the device may select whether or not to continue. If the user continues, the device transmits a device ID of the device to the vehicle. An interface component may render the connection request for an occupant of the vehicle, such as the driver, and await a response. In this way, a driver of a vehicle may act as a gatekeeper for connections.

A computer-implemented method for dynamic vehicle control affecting sleep states of vehicle occupants includes connecting a wearable computing device associated with a vehicle occupant to a vehicle, and determining a state of the vehicle occupant based on physiological data received from at least one of the wearable computing device and the vehicle. An in-vehicle audio system and methods are provided. A respective word or a respective phrase may be associated with each item of audio content stored in the in-vehicle audio system. The in-vehicle audio system may perform an action with respect to one of the stored items of audio content in response to a spoken command, which may include the respective word or the respective phrase associated with the one of the stored items. When audio content is to be added to the in-vehicle audio system, phonetics related to the audio content may be generated and added to a vocabulary dictionary during a compile process.
