An air valve assembly includes a housing defining an internal channel configured to receive a first member, the first member is fluidly connected to an air source, a plunger member positioned in the internal channel and configured to slide relative to the housing, a biasing member positioned in the internal channel and configured to apply a biasing force onto the plunger member, and a sealing member positioned in the internal channel and defining a first inflation aperture, the plunger member slidably received by the first inflation aperture. In a first inflation configuration, the first member is configured to form a magnetic connection with the sealing member and contact the plunger member to overcome the biasing force, the plunger member is configured to responsively slide relative to the first inflation aperture to facilitate a flow of air between the sealing member and the plunger member.

Valve assembly for an air cushion

A multi-position airflow control assembly includes a valve body fluidly connected to at least three inflation zones of a cushion, a control assembly partially received by the valve body, the control assembly including a seal member, and an actuation assembly operably connected to the seal member and configured to rotate the seal member relative to the valve body between at least a first position and a second position. In the first position, the seal member is configured to fluidly isolate the at least three inflation zones from each other. In the second position, the seal member is configured to group the at least three inflation zones into a first group of inflation zones being fluidly connected, and a second group of inflation zones being fluidly connected, the first group of inflation zones being fluidly isolated from the second group of inflation zones.

Multi-position airflow control assembly for an air cushion

A multi-position airflow control assembly includes a valve housing, a valve body received by the valve housing, a plurality of connectors coupled to the valve body, each connector configured to fluidly connect to an inflation zone of a cellular cushion, and a control assembly partially received by the valve body. The control assembly includes a seal member, and an actuation assembly operably connected to the seal member and configured to rotate the seal member relative to the valve body. The seal member is configured to rotate between a first position and a second position.

An air valve assembly includes a housing defining an internal channel, a plunger member positioned in the internal channel and configured to slide relative to the housing, a biasing member positioned in the internal channel and configured to apply a biasing force onto the plunger member, a sealing member defining a first inflation aperture, the plunger member slidably received by the first inflation aperture, a second deflation aperture defined by the housing and in fluid communication with the internal channel, and a deflation control member slidably connected to the housing, the deflation control member configured to selectively seal the second deflation aperture.

The present disclosure generally relates to a manifold valve assembly engaged to an inflatable apparatus, such as a cushion to prevent pressure ulcers, for example. The manifold valve assembly is also in communication with a processing device to determine an optimal immersion level for a user seated on the inflatable apparatus. Additionally the processing device, in communication with the manifold valve assembly may save optimal immersion or air pressure levels for comparison to future checks of cushion pressure and send that to a user interface at the processing device. The assembly and processing device may also save and dis play a history of pressure checks.

Valve assembly for cushion inflation

A release valve for connection to an inflatable cushion comprising an air conduit, a fitting at a first end of the air conduit for insertion into an air tube in fluid communication with the interior of the cushion, and an air inlet port at the opposite end of the air conduit and a filter assembly at the air inlet port. There is first, vertically orientated, spring biased ball valve centrally positioned in the air conduit including at least one air egress vent and being operatively associated with a spring biased actuator in the ball valve housing for opening the first ball valve. The button and first ball valve define a gap to minimize accidental air release. A second longitudinally orientated, spring biased ball valve is positioned in the air conduit adjacent the air inlet port.

A test buck, a test buck system and related method are disclosed. The test buck system may comprise a controller and a test buck. The test buck may include a portable bed, a seat module mounted to the bed, and a first OIM disposed on the bed. At least a portion of the first OIM may be selectively moveable in at least four degrees of freedom, up to six degrees of freedom. The controller may be electrically connected to a first Operator Interface Module (OIM). The controller may be configured to selectively move at least a portion of the first OIM in at least four to six degrees of freedom.

A dental prophylaxis angle includes a body, a drive gear and a driven gear. The body has a sleeve with an open rear end, a neck, a head, a first axial bore, and a second axial bore. The first axial bore is located in the neck, and the second axial bore is located in the head. The first and second axial bores communicate with each other at an intersection. A channel extends through the body from the base of the neck to the open rear end. The drive gear is adapted to be inserted into said body through said head. The drive gear includes a gear, an intermediate portion and a shaft. The shaft extends rotatably from the open rear end of the sleeve, through the first bore, and into the second bore. The intermediate portion further includes an angled leading edge. The drive gear defines a circumferential groove between said gear and said intermediate portion. The driven gear is rotatably mounted in the head and operatively connected to the drive gear. The body further includes a lip extending into the channel. The lip is adapted to be received by the groove when the drive gear is inserted through said head.
