Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes an outer pipeline, an inner pipeline, and an outer pipeline sealing mechanism. The outer pipeline includes an outer pipe fitting to be secured to an end of an outer pipe segment. The inner pipeline includes an inner pipe fitting to be secured to another end of an inner pipe segment. The outer pipeline sealing mechanism includes a sealing plate to be secured to the outer pipe fitting; a sealing stem that extends out axially from the sealing plate, in which the sealing stem is to be secured to the inner pipe fitting to facilitate sealing an inner pipeline bore from an outer pipeline bore; and a seal ring to be compressed between the sealing plate and the outer pipe fitting to facilitate sealing the outer pipeline bore of the outer pipeline from external environmental conditions.

Pipe-in-pipe outer pipeline sealing systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe fitting to be secured to a pipe segment, in which the pipe fitting includes a grab ring having a grab notch and a fitting jacket to be conformally deformed around tubing of the pipe segment to facilitate securing the pipe fitting to the pipe segment. The system includes a swage machine, which includes a grab plate having a grab tab that matingly interlocks with the grab notch to facilitate securing the pipe fitting to the swage machine, a die plate including a die that opens away from the grab plate, and a swaging actuator secured to the die plate. The swage machine operates the swaging actuator to move the die plate over the fitting jacket in an outwardly axial direction away from the grab plate to facilitate conformally deforming the fitting jacket around the tubing of the pipe segment.

Outward direction pipe fitting swage machine systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a test head that includes an end cap assembly; a bore plug assembly including a plug fastener mechanism; an inflation fluid port and an annulus fluid port that open through the end cap assembly; and an internal inflation fluid conduit that connects the inflation fluid port to the plug fastener mechanism. The end cap assembly includes a cap end plate that covers an open end of a pipe segment, a cap sleeve to be disposed around the pipe segment, and a cap fastener mechanism that runs along an inner surface of the cap sleeve and that expands inward such that the cap fastener mechanism engages an outer surface of the pipe segment. The plug fastener mechanism is to be disposed within a pipe bore of the pipe segment and expands outward such that the plug fastener mechanism engages an inner surface of the pipe segment.

Reusable pipe integrity test head systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and operating a system that includes a pipe segment, which has tubing that defines a bore and a fluid conduit implemented in an annulus of the tubing, and a test head. The test head includes a shell, which defines an annulus cavity, and an inflatable bladder implemented in the annulus cavity, in which the system maintains the inflatable securing bladder in a less inflated state while pipe segment tubing is not present in the annulus cavity and increases inflation of the inflatable bladder to a more inflated state when the tubing is present in the annulus cavity to facilitate securing and sealing an open end of the pipe segment in the test head to enable integrity of the tubing to be tested at least in part by flowing a test fluid into the annulus of the tubing via a testing port on the shell.

A pull head assembly for quick attachment to a flexible pipe is provided. The pull head assembly has three subsections. A collet assembly is mounted to the end of a flexible pipe. A mandrel assembly is adapted to go over the collet assembly. A lead screw assembly positions the mandrel assembly over the collet assembly and acts as an attachment point for pulling the flexible pipe and pull head assembly from one location to another. After pulling the flexible pipe and pull head assembly from one location to another, the mandrel assembly and lead screw assembly can be removed, and the collet assembly can act as a temporary fitting for the flexible pipe.

Methods and apparatus for pulling flexible pipe

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe fitting to be secured to a pipe segment, in which the pipe fitting includes a grab ring having a grab notch and a fitting jacket to be conformally deformed around tubing of the pipe segment to facilitate securing the pipe fitting to the pipe segment. Additionally, the system includes a swage machine, which includes a grab plate having a grab tab that matingly interlocks with the grab notch on the grab ring to facilitate securing the pipe fitting to the swage machine, a die plate in which a die is loaded, and a swaging actuator secured to the die plate. The swage machine operates the swaging actuator to push the die plate over the fitting jacket of the pipe fitting to facilitate conformally deforming the fitting jacket around the tubing of the pipe segment via a forward stroke.

A second clamp couples to the flexible pipe. Techniques for implementing a pipe deployment system that includes a pull head, which is to be secured to a pipe segment that includes tubing. The pull head includes a pull plate with a guide tab and a pull plate fastener opening. The pull plate is to be secured to the tubing of the pipe segment at least in part by securing a threaded fastener in the pull plate fastener opening and a pipe segment fastener opening that is aligned with the pull plate fastener opening while the guide tab is oriented outwardly and directly abuts the tubing of the pipe segment. The pull head includes an end assembly, which includes an end cap to be secured to the pull plate and a pull ring to be secured to one or more cables to enable the pull head to be pulled into an external bore, through the external bore, or both.

In one embodiment, a pipeline system includes a pipe fitting to be secured to a pipe segment including tubing that defines a pipe bore and a fluid conduit implemented in a tubing annulus of the tubing, in which the pipe fitting includes a fitting grab notch implemented on an outer surface of the pipe fitting, and a supplemental containment wall assembly to be deployed at the pipe fitting. The supplemental containment wall assembly includes a containment wall shell to be secured circumferentially around the pipe fitting to define a fitting annulus that is sealed at least between the outer surface of the pipe fitting and an inner surface of the containment wall shell to facilitate providing multi-wall containment in the pipeline system and a shell grab tab implemented on the inner surface of the containment wall shell, in which the shell grab tab matingly interlocks with the fitting grab notch on the outer surface of the pipe fitting to facilitate securing the containment wall shell to the pipe fitting.

Techniques for implementing a pipeline system that includes a pipe segment deployed on an inclined surface, in which the pipe segment includes tubing that defines a bore and a fluid conduit implemented in an annulus of the tubing, a pipe fitting secured to the pipe segment, and a pipeline retainer stake. The pipeline retainer stake includes a stake body, in which the stake body includes a pipeline engaging portion and one or more stake legs used to engage ground proximate the pipeline system, and a pipeline engaging component implemented on an inner surface of the pipeline engaging portion of the stake body, in which the pipeline engaging component engages the pipeline system to facilitate offsetting a parallel force resulting from deployment on the inclined surface at least in part by facilitating transfer of the parallel force from the pipeline system to the ground via the pipeline retainer stake.
