In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides a composition comprising 1) about 97.5 wt % to about 99.9 wt % of a first polyethylene having a density of about 0.91 g/cmto about 0.94 g/cm, and a melt strength of about 10 mN or greater; and 2) about 0.1 wt % to about 2.5 wt % of a second polyethylene having an Mw of about 500,000 g/mol or more. In some embodiments, the composition is a film. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides a method of making a composition comprising blending a first polyethylene of any embodiment described herein and a second polyethylene of any embodiment described herein.

Enhanced processability of LLDPE by addition of ultra-high molecular weight density polyethylene

The present disclosure provides copolymers comprising from about 0.5 wt % to about 25 wt % cyclic olefin content and films comprising the copolymers. In one embodiment, a copolymer includes a C-Cmonomer content of from about 75 wt % to about 99.5 wt %; and a C-Ccyclic olefin comonomer content of from about 0.5 wt % to about 25 wt %. The copolymer has a density of about 0.91 g/cmto about 0.933 g/cm. Films of the present disclosure can have advantageous mechanical properties (such as melt strength) and optical properties (such as haze %).

Cyclic olefin copolymers and films prepared therefrom

The present disclosure provides films made of polyethylene (PE) compositions. In at least one embodiment, a film includes a polyethylene composition, comprising: ethylene content and from 0 to 25 mol % of C-Colefin comonomer content, based upon the total weight of the polyethylene composition, the polyethylene composition having a total internal plus terminal unsaturation greater than 0.7 unsaturations per 1000 carbon atoms, the film having: an Elmendorf Tear value in the machine direction of from 10 g/mil to 300 g/mil, and a Dart Drop Impact of from 100 g/mil to 800 g/mil. In at least one embodiment, the present disclosure provides for processes to make a film.

Branched polyethylene with improved processing and high tear films made therefrom

Inelastic film structures including at least one layer incorporating a combination of a first polymeric component that is at least one polymer incorporating propylene-derived units and a second polymeric component that is a thermoplastic polymer, for example, a polymer incorporating a polyolefin, are provided. The combination of the first polymeric component and the second polymeric component incorporates from about 40 wt. % to about 98 wt. % of the at least one polymer incorporating propylene-derived units and from about 2 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of the at least one polymer incorporating a polyolefin. The film structures are found to have properties making the structures useful for inclusion in a variety of applications. In certain embodiments, the film structures may exhibit optical clarity, tack, sealability, toughness, softness, and machinability properties superior to conventional polypropylene films and other conventional polyolefin films.

A thermoplastic composition for cast and blown films and the resulting films thereof are provided. The film can include about 10 wt % to 80 wt % propylene-based copolymer having at least 50 wt % propylene-derived units and 5 wt % to 30 wt % alpha-olefin comonomer, based on the total weight of the polymer that exhibits a melting point of about 100&#xb0; C. to 170&#xb0; C., and a MFR of about 200 dg/min or less.
