A physiological monitoring system includes a sensor subsystem worn by a person including at least a one sensor. A dock is associated with the sensor subsystem and includes a first connector component electrically connected to the sensor. A portable transmitting unit is received in the dock and includes a transmitter and a connector component removeably mateable with the dock connector component to route sensor data to the transmitter.

Physiological status monitoring system

A load score system includes a metabolic sensor such as a heart rate sensor for a subject is configured to output metabolic data for the subject. A biomechanical load sensing subsystem for the subject is configured to output biomechanical load data. A speed sensor subsystem for the subject is configured to output speed data. One or more databases store zones and a weighting factor for each zone for metabolic data, biomechanical load data, and speed data. A performance module is responsive to the metabolic data, the biomechanical load data, and the speed data and the one or more databases and is configured to calculate a metabolic load score for the subject. A biomechanical load score for the subject and a speed load score for the subject are also calculated. An output module displays the subject's calculated metabolic, biomechanical, and speed load scores.

A shunt includes a first occlusion assembly and a second occlusion assembly. The first occlusion assembly includes a first occlusion fluid conduit that carries an inflation fluid from a fluid source to a first balloon of the shunt. The second occlusion assembly includes a second occlusion fluid conduit that carries an inflation fluid from a fluid source to a second balloon of the shunt. The first occlusion assembly includes a first color and the second fluid assembly includes a second color, distinct from the first color. The distinctive colorings of the first and second occlusion fluid conduits remain visible within an operative field during an endarterectomy procedure and allow a user to distinguish the first occlusion assembly from the second occlusion assembly during the procedure.

Methods and apparatus for visually distinguishing occlusion assemblies of a shunt

A catheter introducer includes a tube having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending therethrough along a longitudinal axis of the tube for accommodating a catheter traveling along a longitudinal axis of the tube and a head portion coupled to the distal end of the tube. The head portion includes an aperture in fluid communication with the lumen at a proximal end thereof and a tip at a distal end thereof, an exterior surface extending from the proximal end thereof to an opening of the head portion along a first portion of the head portion and extending from the proximal end thereof to the tip along an opposing portion of the head portion and an interior surface extending from the aperture to the opening of the head portion along the first portion of the head portion and extending from the aperture toward the tip along the opposing portion of the head portion. The exterior surface circumferentially tapers from the proximal end to the distal end and the interior surface forms a channel for receiving a catheter passing through the lumen and the aperture, the channel being concave along at least one axis.
