In one embodiment, a method includes, on a monitoring system, maintaining hot-cluster data. The hot-cluster data includes identification of at least one hot cluster. The at least one hot cluster includes at least one hot-cluster remote node and is served by two or more hot-cluster networking devices. The method further includes selecting a monitoring request and transmitting the monitoring request to the two or more hot-cluster networking devices as a passive request. Via the passive request, the two or more hot-cluster networking devices are instructed to: not forward the monitoring request to the at least one hot-cluster remote node until a control request is received from a communicably separate control system; and upon receipt of the control request, transmit the monitoring request and the control request to the at least one hot-cluster remote node together as a piggy-back request.

System and method for managing clustered radio networks

In one embodiment, a method includes registering as a listener for availability notifications from at least one low-availability device. The method further includes determining a data-collection schedule of the at least one low-availability device. In addition, the method includes maintaining a prioritized queue comprising required data items needed from the at least one low-availability device. Also, the method includes preparing, in advance of the at least one low-availability device becoming available, a request for at least one required data item. The at least one required data item includes a highest-priority data item in the prioritized queue. The method additionally includes, responsive to a notification that the at least one low-availability device is available, transmitting the request to the at least one low-availability device.

System and method for collecting data from low-availability devices

A management system sends a first request for first data associated with multiple network entities. If the first request times out, the first request is split to create multiple smaller requests and the multiple smaller requests sent, requesting data from a subset of the multiple network entities. Based on responses to the multiple smaller requests, the management system identifies a particular network entity that caused the first request to time out and adds the particular network entity to a set of problematic entities. The management system sends a second request that requests second data from a portion of the multiple network entities that excludes the particular network entity. The multiple network entities may include one or more of a virtual machine (VM), a host node (to host VMs), a storage device, a network link, another type of network entity, or any combination thereof.

Selective data collection using a management system

In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring a network that includes a plurality of information handling systems. The plurality of information handling systems includes a plurality of computer-networking devices and a plurality of remote nodes. The method further includes creating a stored network topology. The stored network topology includes, for each of the plurality of networking devices, any direct children. The creating includes, for each networking device of the plurality of computer-networking devices, selecting the networking device, querying the networking device for topology information, and receiving the topology information from the networking device. The creating also includes adding any directly connected remote nodes to the stored network topology. In addition, the creating includes determining any new parent references that can be inferred based on the topology information. The creating further includes updating the stored network topology according to the new parent references.

System and method for inferring and adapting a network topology

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a scrambled message over a network connection. The method further includes detecting one or more embedded responses in the scrambled message. In addition, the method includes discovering any streamed embedded responses of the one or more embedded responses. Further, the method includes, responsive to the discovering of any streamed embedded responses, determining whether all of the one or more embedded responses validate. Moreover, the method includes, responsive to a determination that fewer than all of the one or more embedded responses validate, discovering any interleaved embedded responses of the one or more embedded responses. The method also includes, responsive to the discovering of any interleaved embedded responses, determining whether all of the one or more embedded responses validate. Additionally, the method includes, responsive to a determination that all of the one or more embedded responses validate, retaining the one or more responses.

System and method for correcting scrambled messages

The method includes monitoring a plurality of information handling systems. The method further includes receiving an anomalous event with respect to at least one information handling system of the plurality of information handling systems. In addition, the method includes performing, via at least one correlation handler, at least one correlation algorithm on the anomalous event. Further, the method includes, responsive to the performing, creating, via the correlation handler, at least one composite event. Additionally, the method includes sending the at least one composite event to an event handler. The method also includes issuing, via the event handler, an alert for the at least one composite event.

System and method for correlating anomalous events

The invention relates to a method and network node for uploading media content from a user device to at least one network entity. The method comprises the step of associating a code with the at least one network entity, in a network node. The method further comprises the step of sending an address book object from the network node to the user device, said address book object comprising the code and said address book object being usable for sending a multimedia message to the network node from the user device. The method further comprise the step of receiving, in the network node, the multimedia message from the user device, said multimedia message containing the code and the media content. The method further comprise the step of updating, from the network node, the at least one network entity associated with the code with the media content.

Method and network node for uploading media content from a user device to at least one network entity

A method, system and agent for exchanging the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Technical Specification document number a first node uses, with a second node of the network, so that subsequent communications can be properly carried between the nodes. The first node may be an agent and the second node may be a manager of a management system. The manager sends a GetXXXIRPVersion request message, a GetNotificationCategories request message, or a GetNetworkResourceSchemeId request message, to which the agent responds with an abridged version of the 3GPP TS document number the agent uses in this type of communications, so that the manager is informed of the protocol employed by the agent and can expect communications of the type indicated by the agent.
