Systems and methods for removing impurities from a feed fluid in a single vessel. A method generally includes, in single vessel, contacting a feed fluid passing through the vessel with a copper-based material for removing oxygen from the feed fluid; and contacting the feed fluid passing through the vessel with an adsorbent for removing at least one of water, carbon dioxide, and oxygenated hydrocarbons from the feed fluid.

Systems and methods for removing impurities from a feed fluid

A continuous gas phase circulating bed reactor, including: a riser for contacting a catalyst and a first gas composition comprising an olefin to form a polyolefin under fast-fluidization regime or a dilute-phase pneumatic conveying regime conditions; a downer for contacting the catalyst and a second gas composition comprising an olefin to form additional polyolefin under fast fluidization regime or a dilute-phase pneumatic conveying regime conditions; and a transport section for conveying at least a portion of the catalyst, polyolefin, and additional polyolefin from the downer to the riser. Also disclosed is a polymerization process using such a circulating bed reactor.

Circulating fluidized bed reactor

A rotary feeder for feeding a particulate material including: a cylindrical housing comprising a feeder inlet, a first feeder outlet, and a second feeder outlet; a rotor mounted in the cylindrical housing including a plurality of substantially impeller blades defining a plurality of circumferentially spaced pockets alignable with the feeder inlet, first feeder outlet, and second feeder outlet, and adapted to sweep a wall of the cylindrical housing as the rotor rotates in the cylindrical housing; a device for rotating the rotor; and a separating screen in the first feeder outlet to substantially prevent oversize material from exiting through the first feeder outlet, wherein each of the plurality of circumferentially spaced pockets will align with the feeder inlet to receive therein a particulate material and an oversize material through the feeder inlet, rotate in the cylindrical housing to align with the first feeder outlet and discharge the particulate material therefrom, and rotate in the cylindrical housing to align with the second feeder outlet after alignment with the first feeder outlet and discharge the oversized material therefrom is provided as well as a method of using the same.

Separator rotary feeder and method of using the same

A process comprising the steps of: (1) pressurizing a particulate material in bead or pellet form in a vessel to an elevated pressure with a first gas, (2) reducing the particulate material under the elevated pressure to a fine consistency, (3) conveying the fine consistency particulate material into a receiving vessel.

Process for handling particulate material at elevated pressure

A method of reducing the purge gas consumption, dry-down time, or both required for start-up and operation of a gas phase fluidized bed reactor system. The method involves contacting a stream of cycle gas having water and/or a polar hydrocarbon with an adsorbing material while the cycle gas is in a closed circulation loop.
