The present invention is directed roof edge seal and barrier devices and their method of manufacture. A method of manufacturing a comb-like sealing strip for use as a roof edge seal or barrier comprises stamping or cutting an elongate strip of material along a sinuous path located between the edges of the strip and then separating the strip into two portions, each of which consists of a fixing edge corresponding to the edge of the original strip from which project a series of teeth or prongs forming a comb structure.

Walking aids are described which are of simple construction but which allow for both resilience, i.e. the part of the walking aid which is gripped by the user and the ground-engaging end () can be resiliency pressed together, as well as a degree of angular flexibility so that the end () stays aligned with the ground even if the stick, crutch or the like () is angled relative thereto. This is achieved in particular by the use of a bellows structure () between the shaft () of a walking aid and a ground-engaging foot ().

A self-cleaning assembly comprising an enclosed casingwith a movable pistonand filterstherein. The preferred assembly has a casingwith a dirty water inlet, a first outletfor clean filtered water and a second outletfor the removal of sludge from the casing. The filter assembly is constructed and arranged to provide, in its normal operating mode, a liquid flow path through the filterin a first direction between the dirty water inletand the clean water outletand, in a cleaning mode, to provide a liquid flow path in a second direction between the dirty water inletand the sludge outlet. In the cleaning mode, the movable membercompresses the filtersduring the liquid flow in the second direction and contaminant is released therefrom for removal from the filter assembly via the second outlet. In an alternative embodiment, the sludge outletis omitted and sludge is removed from the casing via the outlet

A case for elongate articles, such as writing instruments, includes a base and a cover hinged to the base for movement between open and closed positions. The base carries an article holder for receiving and holding an article in the case. The cover carries or is adapted to carry a holder for receiving and holding a second article in the case and in a position laterally alongside the article held on the base when the case is closed.

A wall panelling system comprising two upright posts 13, a panel 11, a hinge 19 connecting the panel to one of the posts 13 and a lock 21 for locking the panel to another post. The posts 13 have a cross-sectional shape which provides features for the attachment of the hinge 19 and the locking means 21. The locking means comprises a latch member 23 pivotally mounted with respect to its post 13 and a catch 22 fixed relative to the panel 11. The latch member 23 is movable by means of a pinion 28 which meshes with teeth 27 on the latch member 23.

Door assembly for a cubicle

A toilet cubicle having a pair of post engaging side panels bracketed to a rear wall and a top headrail engaging the side panels have doors rotatably joined in spaced apart relationship to the posts. Each door is pivotally supported by a foot disposed in spaced relationship to the posts. The feet have a threaded insert supporting base receiving an adjustably threaded member, and a gravity hinge and door pivot supporting cap engaging the opposite end of the threaded member. A nut on the threaded member is movable to engage an upper surface of the base. The nut has a transverse thread for receiving a tapered end set screw to destructively engage the threads of the threaded member and fix the nominally open positioning of the door, and resist travel thereafter. The gravity hinge has a bottom portion engaging the cap and an upwardly extending annular portion truncated at an oblique angle about a bore aperture of the cap, and an upper portion having a downwardly extending obliquely truncated annular portion matable with that of the upwardly extending portion. The feet are adjustable, by rotation of the cap with respect to the base, yet may be rigidly fixed to prevent further travel, and thus prevent the door of the cubicle from loosening and falling from its pivotal couplings.

Cubicle

A panelling system for the construction of cubicles having two upright posts, a panel connected to one of the posts by a hinge and two cross rails running between the posts. Each of the upright posts has a similar, but laterally inverted, cross-sectional shape. The posts are attached to the floor and ceiling by means of channel members and to a rear wall by means of wall brackets which also serve to support service supplies. The panels may support various items, such as W.C.'s, washbasins, etc.
