Aspects of the present disclosure include a catheter, such as an endovascular catheter configured for catheter rotation during a catheterization procedure, e.g., an endovascular catheterization procedure. The catheter includes a first tubular member and a second tubular member surrounding at least a portion of the central portion of the first tubular member, where the first and second tubular members are rotatable with respect to each other. Methods for performing a catheterization and kits that include the catheter are also provided.

Catheter with a rotation capability

Provided are methods and compositions for locally increasing arterial diameter and providing local anesthesia in a subject. The methods include applying to a skin site of the subject a topical composition that includes a vasodilation agent and an anesthetic agent in a manner sufficient for locally increasing arterial diameter and providing local anesthesia in the subject. In some embodiments, the method includes inserting a cannula into an artery at the skin site of the subject. Also provided are topical compositions that find use in performing the subject methods.
