A system, method, and fluid analysis module are provided for the real-time analysis of multiphase fluids. The system generally comprises a sampling system for directing a fluid stream from a flow line to a fluid analysis module, a processor and communicator. The fluid analysis module comprises a sensor for measurement of at least one property of the fluid. The processor processes the measurement data from the sensor, and the communicator communicates the processed data to a central acquisition unit or computer.

Real-time measurement of reservoir fluid properties

A system and method facilitates the analysis and sampling of well fluid. A sampling and data collection device is used to detect well fluid properties in situ at a flowline installation. In an exemplary embodiment, the sampling and data collection device comprises a sample collection system having a probe adapted to selectively insert into and selectively retract from the flowline to collect a fluid sample, and a sensor system to determine PVT data in situ at the location where the probe is inserted into the flowline.

System and method for analysis of well fluid samples

A sampling apparatus for sampling a fluid enriched in a selected phase from a multiphase fluid mixture flowing into a main pipe, the multiphase fluid mixture containing at least the selected phase and one other phase, the apparatus comprising: &#x2014;a sampling arrangement: for taking a fluid sample of the multiphase fluid mixture flowing into the main pipe, &#x2014;a sample chamber having a variable volume for collecting the fluid sample of the multiphase fluid mixture and letting settle by gravity the fluid sample into the fluid enriched in the selected phase and at least another phase enriched fluid, and &#x2014;a valve manifold coupling the sampling arrangement to the sample chamber for driving the fluid sample in the sample chamber and for driving the fluid enriched in the selected phase to a sample outlet and the other phase enriched fluid back to the main pipe.
