A binding mechanism is provided having a plurality of carriers, each supporting a pair of engaging rods, slidably mounted lengthwise of a spine. A pinion member interfacing a plate with gear teeth mounted to one of the pair of engaging rods allows for movement of one of each of the pairs of engaging rods simultaneously.

A storing and dispensing system for square or rectangular objects including a tray (T) having side by side cells 10. Each cell has a front wall (2), side walls (12), and a rear wall (4), a bottom (6), and an upwardly inclined ramps (28), extending rearwardly from the bottom surface to the rear wall. The side walls have extenders (14) joining them to the front wall.

Stationary storing and dispensing system

A system for storing and dispensing a magnetic tape cartridges having a plurality of rows (10) of pivotal storage cells (14) within a frame (2) each cell has a cartridge-discharge end and a rear wall (22) at the opposite end. A support (12) is located beneath the cell and pivot means (16) are located intermediate the ends of the cell to permit the cell to pivot on the support means relative to the horizontal. Means are provided to limit the amount of pivotal movement of the cell relative to the horizontal. The center of gravity of the cell is located closer to the cartridge-discharge end than to the rear wall end. The cartridge-discharge end of the cell normally is inclined to pivot downwardly relative to the horizontal. Means (78) are provided to limit the amount of pivotal movement of the cartridge-discharge end of the cell at substantially a horizontal position. Means (15) are also provided to offer resistance to the downward pivotal movement of the rear wall end of the cell.

A document holder for releasably binding together loose-leaf stationery items and securing them to either single- or double-rail suspension filing systems is provided by a loose-leaf binder which incorporates a thin external spine structure incorporating at least one hook suitable for suspending the binder from single-rail suspension systems and retractable head- and tail-end hooks suitable for use with double-rail suspension systems.

Document holders

A storage file of open box-like form for storing books, documents, cassettes, discs and the like in a suspension filing system is disclosed herein. In one embodiment the storage file includes on its top a hook and a lock means, designed to prevent inadvertent disengagement of the hook, Another feature is an interlock which cooperates with a strap-like member disposed parallel to a hanger bar in the filing system to prevent rotation of the storage file while it is suspended from the hanger bar.

Document storage file

A multi-ring loose-leaf binder which incorporates hooks adopted to detachably secure the binder to a horizontal bar of a suspension filing system, recessed into the top edges of its front and back covers. The binder is further provided with a hinged jack recessed within its spine and which may be extended to prop the open binder at a convenient angle to a horizontal work surface.

A document holder or filing device comprising a rigid spine piece dimensioned to accommodate the spine of the binding of a book-like item to be filed, said spine piece having head and tail ends, and at least one finger at both head and tail ends dimensioned and movably disposed to engage the associated head and tail ends of the spine between themselves and the spine piece, first and second interlocking means so configured and disposed as to be engageable one with the other and, when engaged, prevent the further relative movement of the fingers and thereby maintain the book-like item captive within the holder, and resiliently distortable means biased so as to maintain said first and second interlocking means in engagement and manually distortable so as to permit the disengagement of the interlocking means and thereby the release of the binder from the document holder.

Document holder

A document holder has a rigid spine piece dimensioned to accommodate the spine of the binding of the document to be filed and a plurality of fingers at both head and tail ends dimensioned and movably disposed to engage the head and tail of the spine between themselves and the spine piece.

A storage cabinet is provided which comprises at least one pull-out frame with a book support for supporting books so that they can be opened and read without removing them from the frame. The book support is in the form of a hanger bar from which the books are hung for storage. The hanger bar is adapted to permit the books to be easily pivoted up into a reading or use position and also to permit the books to be removed easily if pivoted to a selected book-releasing position.
