A liquid processing apparatus comprised of a housing comprising a bottom wall, a side wall, and a central wall dividing a volume enclosed by the bottom wall and side wall into a treatment chamber and a discharge chamber; and a cartridge disposed in the treatment chamber. The cartridge may be comprised of a base wall and a lateral wall forming a media chamber, and a plurality of passageways through at least one of the base wall and side wall rendering the media chamber in communication with the treatment chamber. A treatment medium is contained in the media chamber. The cartridge may be comprised of a plurality of divider walls partitioning the media chamber into media compartments. The housing may be further comprised of a plurality of locating walls extending vertically upward from the bottom wall of the housing and between the divider walls of the cartridge.

Liquid processing apparatus

A pump comprising a volute housing, a rotatable shaft, and an impeller. The volute housing comprises a volute cavity side wall, an upper cylindrical wall, and an upper wall. The upper cylindrical wall extends upwardly from an upper perimeter edge and includes an upper recessed notch formed therein. The upper wall extends radially inwardly from the upper cylindrical wall. The rotatable impeller is operatively coupled to the rotatable shaft and comprises a top cylindrical wall and a top flange. The top cylindrical wall extends upwardly from a top perimeter edge of the top flange and includes a top recessed notch formed therein. The top cylindrical wall is separated from the upper cylindrical wall of the volute housing by an upper annular gap. The top recessed notch of the rotatable impeller and the upper recessed notch of the volute housing may be slot-shaped or wedge-shaped.

A system for delivery of a medical device includes a delivery member and a medical device, which is mounted to the delivery member and releasably retained in a delivery configuration for endoluminal delivery of the medical device toward a treatment site in a human vessel. The delivery member includes an elongated first portion configured to extend outside of the body from a first percutaneous access site and an elongated second portion configured to extend outside the body from a second percutaneous access site to allow positioning of the medical device at the treatment site by manipulation of the first portion and second portion from outside of the body.

A liquid level control module comprising an elongated tubular housing immersible through a surface of a liquid and into a bulk volume of the liquid, and first, second, and third electrical switches, and first and second floats movable along the tubular housing. The first electrical switch is disposed within a lower portion of the tubular housing, the second electrical switch is disposed within an intermediate portion of the tubular housing, and the third electrical switch is disposed within an upper portion of the tubular housing. Each of the switches has an open state and a closed state. Motion of the first float relative to the first switch changes its state. Motion of the second float relative to the second switch changes its state, and motion of the second float relative to the third switch changes its state. Thus a two-float module may provide three level control signals.

Recanalization device

A visually observable display comprising a circuit board including at least one illuminator emitting light outwardly from a surface of the board, a light transmissive display window pane operable to receive light at an inner surface and transmit the light through an outer surface, and an insert disposed between the illuminator and the display window pane. The insert comprises an elongated light distributing conduit receiving light from the at least one illuminator at a first location in a direction substantially perpendicular to the display window pane, distributing the light transversely through the light conduit along the inner surface of the display window pane, and redirecting the distributed light outwardly along an outer wall of the conduit and outwardly through the window pane. The display may include multiple light illuminators emitting light outwardly from the board surface and into the light distributing conduit at discrete locations along the conduit.

A macerating apparatus for a toilet in which the problem of jamming the macerator at startup is solved by rapidly detecting the flushing of the toilet and accelerating the macerator before motion-jamming solid objects in the effluent from the toilet can reach the macerator. The macerating apparatus may be comprised of a macerating cutter operatively connected to a motor, and a sensor in communication with the motor. The sensor may detect the flow of effluent from the toilet toward the macerator, the flow of makeup water from the supply tank into the toilet, or the mechanical action of the mechanism used to flush the toilet. The apparatus may include an intake basket having an asymmetric inlet tube and containing the macerating cutter, wherein the asymmetry of the inlet tube provides additional operating clearance between a cutting blade of the macerating cutter and the intake basket.

An alarm system is provided for generating an alert when a water-powered sump pump is activated and water is being used by the water-powered sump pump. The alarm system includes a water sensor for detecting if water within a sump reaches the sensor and a housing for containing sensor electronics, wherein the water sensor is supported by the housing. In addition, a clamp is attached to the housing for releasably attaching the housing to a pipe such that the alarm system may be positioned to alert a user when water-powered sump pump is activated.

The present invention relates to medical cutting tools for treating aortic septal dissections. The cutting tool is provided with a delivery catheter and has a remotely actuated cutting blade or cutting wire component. The cutting tool is provided with at least one displacement element. The displacement element assists in placement of the cutting tool at a desired location. The displacement element also assists in maintaining contact between the cutting blade and tissue being cut.

A method and apparatus for forming and mounting a sleeve and a thrust member in a bore in a motor/gear drive housing shaft to support the motor/gear drive shaft against radial and axial movement. Gates are formed in the motor/gear drive housing and communicate with separate first and second bores in the housing. A mold core is inserted into the housing and closes off one bore to allow the injection of molten plastic into a cavity formed between the tip end portion of the mold core and the first bore to form an annular sleeve. The annular sleeve has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the end tip portion of the motor/gear drive shaft to be nominally spaced from the outer diameter of the drive shaft, but is supportingly engaged by the drive shaft under radial deformation of the drive shaft. Insertion of the drive shaft into the housing causes the tip end portion of the drive shaft to sealing close the second bore in the housing allowing the injection of molten plastic into the second bore to form a thrust member axially engaged with the end of the drive shaft to resist axial movement of the drive shaft during operation.
