A fan having a housing including a front piece that is separable but connectable to a back piece is disclosed. The front piece has a first connecting edge and a downstream edge, and the back piece has a second connecting edge and an upstream edge. The second connecting edge is configured to be connected to the first connecting edge. The fan may include a handle, the handle having a first portion integral with the front piece and a second portion integral with the back piece, the first portion configured to be connected to the second portion. The fan may further include air guide ribs provided on an interior surface of the housing and/or a ramp that starts at a location downstream of the upstream edge of the housing and ends at the downstream edge of the housing.

Nozzle attachment for a vacuum cleaner

A vacuum cleaner comprising a tank for collecting material having a base, an outside surface and an opening disposed at the base. A drain system is disposed adjacent the opening and includes a drain tube having an outlet and a cap mounted to the drain tube and removably secured to prevent material from exiting the drain system. When the cap is removed, the drain tube slides out of the opening in a first direction and the outlet permits material to leave the drain tube in a direction other than the first direction.

A new dolly can be used for making either a vacuum cleaner supported by casters or one supported by wheels. Casters can be mounted in sockets in bosses near the dolly perimeter. Alternatively, axle mounts can be fitted over the bosses. Upright walls on the mounts engage corresponding walls on the underside of the dolly, forming spaced supports. An accessory component with molded upright walls is mounted onto the dolly, and its walls engage corresponding walls under the dolly. One fastener seats against one fastener surface on the accessory component, and extends into a hole in that fastener surface, an aligned opening in the corresponding axle mount, and into the dolly.

A mop bucket assembly is disclosed which allows for moving a bucket from one position to another while reducing spillage from the bucket by using an integrated lid to keep liquid from splashing out of the bucket. The disclosed mop bucket assembly also discloses a mop bucket assembly having a caution or warning sign formed integral with the mop bucket assembly that can be deployed when mopping is in progress.

A system for locking the wheels of a dolly for a cleaning device has a brake arm that has one end that is hinged to the base of the dolly. The brake arm pivots between a disengaged position and an engaged position where a stop on an opposite end of the brake arm engages the circumference of one of the wheels on the dolly. A spring biases the brake arm to the disengaged position. The spring can be mounted on a pin that is seated on the base and extends through a slot in the brake arm. An operator-engagable lever is used to move the brake arm from one position to another. The lever can be hinged to the pin, pivoting into and out of a locked position in which the lever presses the brake arm into the engaged position. A cam surface on the lever is shaped so that moving the lever to one side of a critical point causes the lever to be biased toward the locked position, and moving the lever to the other side of the critical point causes the lever to be biased toward the unlocked position. The part of the lever that abuts the brake arm when the lever is in the locked position can be a flat section on the cam surface.

The disclosed cleaning device has a suction unit that can be used to take in liquid, a tank that can be used to hold the liquid, a mouth that can be used to pour liquid from the tank, and wheels that form a base. It also has a pivot that can be used to rotate the tank between a normal use position and a pouring position. The pivot is arranged so that in the pouring position, the center of gravity of the unit remains within the horizontal range of the base, even as the mouth of the tank falls outside the horizontal range of the base. As shown, the pivot is 12 inches above the floor and within the horizontal range of the base. In this position, it remains laterally between the center of gravity of the tank and the edge of the base when the tank is emptied.

Caster wheel assemblies that may be snap-fitted onto a cylindrical tank or drum are shown and described. Also dolly-wheel assemblies that include an axle supported by two wheels are also disclosed which may be snap-fitted onto a cylindrical tank or drum. The caster wheel assemblies and dolly wheel assemblies disclosed herein may be easily mounted onto a tank or drum without the need for a separate supporting platform. A flexible nature of the caster wheel assemblies and wheel-dolly assemblies enables them to be snap-fitted onto tanks of varying diameters.

A wet-dry vacuum cleaner with both a tool caddy and a waste receptacle basket is disclosed which has a mechanism by which the basket can be securely and positively connected to the tool caddy. One of the tool caddy and basket may include a deflectable tab while the other of the tool caddy and basket may include a slot adapted to receive the tab. Upon connecting the basket onto the tool caddy the tab may be inserted into the slot to thus positively connect the basket to the tool caddy and thereby provide a secure attachment.

A wheel mounting system for a wet/dry vacuum cleaner is disclosed. A system provides a wet/dry vacuum cleaner base having a plurality of mounting surfaces extending therefrom. First and second wheels are mounted to first and second stub shafts which are inserted through at least two of the plurality of bearing surfaces and secured thereto using set screws. Flanges on outer ends of the stub shafts secure the wheels between the flanges and wheel wells extending from the base of the vacuum cleaner. A reinforcing shaft can be telescopingly received within the first and second stub shafts in order to enable the vacuum cleaner base to support relatively heavy loads.

A lawn edger having a deflector to deflect debris when the edger is in use. The deflector includes a frame extension and a deflector assembly carried on the frame. The deflector assembly preferably comprises a rigid V-shaped mounting member and a flexible member. The V-shaped mounting member is mounted to the frame at a mounting site that includes a first surface co-planar with the frame extension and a second surface parallel to the top surface of the frame. Upon mounting the flexible member to the frame, the flexible member re-forms from a planar configuration to a mounted configuration wherein an upper portion is angled outwardly from the frame. This angled portion comprises between 20-80% of the area of the flexible member. A trailing edge of the flexible member directly contacts the associated surface on which the lawn edger travels. The deflector is preferably used upon a vertical drive shaft lawn edger.
