A guitar string anchor includes a housing, a tension slide, and a tension slide adjuster operatively connected to the tension slide. The guitar string anchor is secured to a guitar bridge. The tension slide receives a ball end of a guitar string. The tension slide adjuster adjusts a position of the tension slide, which causes a change in the guitar string tension.

Apparatus and methods for securing a string to an acoustic, stringed instrument are disclosed. Example apparatus include string anchors secured to a bridge of the stringed instrument. The apparatus provide components enabling selective tensioning of the string. A seat arrangement provided by string anchors receives an anchor end of string and the string passes from the seat arrangement through a base arrangement and towards a headstock of the acoustic instrument.

Arrangements, features, techniques and methods for securing strings of stringed instruments

An apparatus for securing one end of a guitar string to a guitar is disclosed. The apparatus includes a mount adapted to be secured to and extend upwardly from the bridge of the guitar, and where the mount defines a pivot axis above the bridge of the guitar. The apparatus also can include a string holder pivotally connected to the mount at the pivot axis, the string holder comprising an anchor to securely hold the end of the guitar string, the string holder having a first end and a second end, the first end positioning the guitar string below the saddle height of the bridge. Additionally, the apparatus can include a position adjuster operatively connected to the mount and the string holder, where the position adjuster can be used for adjusting the pivot angle of the string holder to adjust tension on the guitar string.

A stacker base has L-shaped corner members arranged at the corners of a square or rectangle with connector members spanning between them and connected to the corner members to form an enclosure for the lower levels of a stack of articles. The corner and connector members are joined with various attachment devices such as screws or headed elements or hooks on the connector member ends for engaging and locking into a selected one of a row of slots in the corner members to thereby make stacker bases having article accommodating areas of different sizes.
