The connecting opening extends the operative outer polymeric layer, the fabric layer, and the mounting layer.

A round baler comprises a baling chamber which is surrounded by compression elements in the form of a single compression belt or a plurality of compression belts, the adjacent edges of which butt directly against one another. The compression elements rest on a drivable roll and freely running rolls and is guided laterally through lateral guides in the axial direction of at least one of the rolls. The lateral guides are arranged on both sides of the compression elements immediately upstream of a drivable roll with regard to the direction of movement of the compression elements which applies during the baling operation. They consist of discs which rotate in the plane of the compression elements, the discs having grooves into which the compression elements extends.

A device is provided for covering a bale chamber of a round baler. The device has a planar cover element made from a flexible material that extends between an upper holder and a brace moving between a lower, closed position, and an upper, open position for ejecting a round bale. The cover element consists of a fabric made from plastic fibers.

The motion means are provided with protrusions, and anti-interference spacing means are provided to prevent the feeder from contacting the protrusions.

A twine arm assembly is provided with a guide member controlling the movement of a twine arm during a tying cycle. In order to facilitate the insertion of new twine into the twine arm, said guide member is made of two parts which can be locked to each other or which can move with respect to each other in order to bring the twine arm into a position, in which twine can be inserted easily.

A towed farm implement includes a set of auxiliary wheels mounted for elevating the implement to a height which permits the implement to be pulled over and lowered onto a transport trailer or which permits the trailer to be otherwise maneuvered to a loading position beneath the implement. Once the implement is loaded, a pivoted tongue of the implement is positioned so as to be used for the endwise transport of loaded implement. In one embodiment, the auxiliary wheels are mounted on their own lift arms for being swung vertically by an adjusting mechanism that is independent of that use to effect vertical adjustment of the ground wheels. In another embodiment, the wheel support arms of the ground wheels and the lift arms to which the auxiliary wheels are mounted are secured together for being swung by the same adjusting mechanism.
