Laser finishing of apparel products allows an operating model that reduces finishing cost, lowers carrying costs, increases productivity, shortens time to market, be more reactive to trends, reduce product constraints, reduces lost sales and dilution, and more. Improved aspects include design, development, planning, merchandising, selling, making, and delivering. The model uses fabric templates, each of which can be used to produce a multitude of laser finishes. Operational efficiency is improved.

Indigo-dyed garments are treated with an anti-ozone agent to prevent ozone-related degradation of the garments before laser finishing. Without treatment, the garments can exhibit color loss (e.g., color change or fading) from exposure to ozone in the atmosphere. The indigo-dyed garments with anti-ozone treatment can serve as base templates in a laser finishing process flow. The anti-ozone treatment of the base templates can include a rinse including an ascorbic acid or vitamin C constituent during a base preparation process. Then quantities of these base templates can manufactured and stored for periods of time without exhibiting ozone-related degradation effects.

A marine side curtain stowage apparatus for stowing pliant marine side curtains in sheet form includes a pliant base layer having an outer weather surface and an inner surface, a pliant top layer formed from a nonabrasive material for abutting contact with the entire transparent portion of a side curtain, a first fastening element operatively associated with the base layer and the top layer for releasably joining the first side edge of the base layer with the first side edge of the top layer; and a second fastening element associated with the base layer and the top layer for releasably joining the second side edge of the base layer with the second side edge of the top layer.

Marine side curtain stowage apparatus

A continuously varying electrical signal representing an original musical sound is divided at a selected mid-frequency of about 800 Hertz to provide upper and lower frequency signal bands which are then frequency-modulated with separate modulation signals that differ in frequency or amplitude or both, in order to produce a vibrato or tremulant effect and thereby enrich the harmonic content of the musical sound. In order to inject the vibrato or tremulant into each signal band, the modulation process utilizes a pulse sampling and delay circuit which minimizes clock pulse noise by selecting only the central part of each delayed pulse, and which also senses the original amplitude envelope of the unmodulated wave in order to augment the envelope that is recreated from the delayed pulses after they are recovered. The resulting modulated signals are recombined, producing a cross-modulation which adds further harmonic components, and the composite signal is again divided at a frequency of about 200 Hertz into high and low frequency output signals which are supplied to respective high and low frequency stationary loudspeakers.

Electronic method and apparatus for modifying musical sound

An electronic key telephone system is disclosed that provides a plurality of telephone features and functions, while only requiring a four-wire line between the central equipment and each key-set telephone (KST) and a two-wire line between the central equipment and each single-line telephone (SLT). Linear delta coding and time division multiplex (TDM) techniques are used to eliminate the multiple pairs required in traditional private business exchange (PBX) systems between the remote key telephones and the control unit. In the present system, a microprocessor controlled TDM controller transmits and receives control signals serially to and from interfaces in the system for control purposes and also for establishing exchange of digitized audio information data between selected interfaces. The system thus exchanges digitized audio information directly between interfaces and provides control signalling between the TDM controller and the interfaces, with all of the exchanges being done in real time. Among other things, the system is compatible with all types of existing central office exchange lines. The system may use combinations of single-line telephones (SLTs) or key-set telephones (KSTs). Specialized functions, such as conference calls, background music, external zone paging and night chime, as well as on-line maintenance, system configuration reprogramming, out-going telephone call control, and recordkeeping are available. To reduce complexity and increase economy, several functions in the system are time-shared, and the system is constructed in modular form to allow its capabilities to be tailored for its intended use.

Electronic key telephone system

A method and means for modulating the frequency of an analog signal to achieve a vibrato effect wherein the analog signal is transmitted through an analog shift register or delay line under the control of a digital clock signal and wherein the frequency of the digital clock signal is varied at a rate equal to the desired rate of modulation of the analog signal. In this manner, the output of the shift register is a delayed version of the input thereto, with the frequency modulated at the same rate that the clock signal frequency is modulated. According to the preferred embodiment of the invention, first and second shift registers are utilized and the analog signal is divided into upper and lower frequency bands which are separately applied to the two shift registers. Furthermore the shift register which receives the lower frequency band is clocked at one-half the rate of the shift register which receives the higher frequency band.
