The system includes at least one physical memory device to store print workflow manager and one or more processors coupled with the at least one physical memory devices to execute the print workflow manager receive a print job including print data to be printed, wherein the print data comprises a first presentation format, convert the received print data from the first presentation format to generate second print data in a second presentation format, duplicate the second print data to generate third print data, process the second print data to generate data to be printed to a first page size and process the third print data to generate data to be printed to a second page size.

Alternative media generation mechanism

Combining multiple pages of an AFP print job into a single AFP output page that can be more efficiently printed is described. A print job is received, where pages in the print job begin with a first electronic marker indicative of a beginning of the page and ends with a second electronic marker indicative of an end of the page. A first page and a second page in the print job are identified to combine together into an output page, and an amount of offset for page contents of the second page is determined. The page contents of the second page are shifted by the amount of the offset. The first electronic marker is removed from the first page, the second electronic marker is removed from the second page, and page contents of the first page and shifted page contents of the second page are combined together into the output page. The output page is transmitted to a printer for printing.

Modification of advanced function presentation (AFP) print jobs

Systems and methods are provided for predictively tracking expected print jobs. The system comprises a memory that identifies categories of print jobs, and that stores rules that indicate how often print jobs will be received at a presentation system. The system also comprises a control unit operable to identify a rule for a category of print jobs, to analyze the rule to generate a predicted schedule of print jobs expected for receipt at the presentation system, and to determine whether expected print jobs have been received at the presentation system in accordance with the schedule. The control unit is further operable to generate an alert if an expected print job has not been received at the presentation system in accordance with the schedule.

Predictive schedule-based tracking of incoming print jobs

Systems and methods for an Automated Document Factory (ADF) system configured to print a web in a 4-up format and to handle the web with 2-up post-print equipment. One embodiment is an apparatus that includes a post-print system. The post-print system receives a web of media printed in an N-up format where N is three or more. The post-print system includes a cutting unit that cuts the web along a length to form segments. A first segment includes documents printed in a 2-up format. The post-print system also includes a 2-up handler that receives the first segment, reads an instruction printed on the first segment that includes handling information for the documents printed on the first segment, and processes the documents printed on the first segment based on the handling information.

Partitioned handling of documents printed in an N-up format

Systems and methods are provided for enhancing postal discounts. The system receives multiple print jobs, each print job assigned for printing at a different printing system. Each print job comprises mail pieces that correspond with capabilities of the assigned printing system. The system identifies mail pieces of the print jobs that have delivery addresses that are not confirmed by a mailing address database ('non-automated mail pieces'), and extracts non-automated mail pieces that may be produced at printing systems having different capabilities. Further, the system determines a threshold number of non-automated mail pieces to reach a bulk postal discount for a print job, and redistributes the extracted mail pieces across the print jobs based upon the threshold to increase the number of print jobs that reach the bulk postal discount.

Distribution of mail pieces across print jobs to enhance postal discounts in a production printing environment

A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving an input print job file including a form definition (formdef), determining whether the formdef is an N-up formdef and generating an output print job file by inserting a forms overlay into the input print job file as a pre-printed form if the formdef is an N-up formdef.

Electronic replacement of pre-printed forms

A modular roof bolting apparatus adapted to be installed on a face conveyor track of longwall mining equipment. A roof drilling assembly is rotationally mounted on a platform to an operating position and an installation position. The roof bolting drill is mounted to the platform so that in the lowered position the roof bolting drill lies parallel to an elongate axis of the platform. This arrangement provides a low-profile arrangement that allows the roof bolting apparatus to be installed in areas where space is limited. For example, the roof bolting apparatus can be lifted over either the headgate or tailgate drive without having to disassemble them.

Mine roof bolting apparatus and method of using the same

A modular ambulatory patient infusion apparatus including a control module and an infusion fluid or solution-containing interlocking cassette. The control module includes thumbwheel presettable electronic circuitry and display means in the form of windows for viewing the preset numerical values. In accordance with these settings, the circuitry drives a motor-operated reciprocable piston actuator terminating in a finger-like flange engaging portion. The motor shaft drives a worm and worm gear arrangement for reciprocating the piston actuator, with each of the worm and worm gear interoperatively associated with light cells for determining both motor speed and worm gear revolution. These, in turn, provide signals to the circuitry to vary the duty cycle of a pulse width modulated motor controller, while providing an indication of a complete revolution of the worm gear (which correlates to one cycle of the piston actuator) and providing an indication of motor speed which is utilized to detect occlusions by motor speed slowdown or stall. A flexible solution bag is retained within the cassette with the discharge tube thereof in fluid communication with a fluid pumping means within a block having a chamber therein and valve arrangement therein. The fluid pump includes a piston communicating with the chamber and having a flanged end configured for coacting engagement with the finger-like flange engaging portion of the piston actuator of the control module. The valve arrangement includes first and second check valves in fluid flow communication with the chamber, the first valve being in flow communication with the tube from the bag and the second valve being in flow communication with a passage leading to an IV tube set for connection to the patient.
