Multivariate graphs specific to a company's performance, alone or in relation to a benchmark, and methods for producing same include defining on a display screen an origin having a first value, extending from the origin at least three axes on the display screen, the axes being generally equidistant from each other and representing a respective variable, plotting on the display screen a value of each variable concerning the company as a point on a respective axis, and using the plotted points to interpolate first segments between the axes on the display screen. Benchmark information, extrinsic to the company, can be obtained, processed into a rating in the same manner as the company data, and superimposed for ready visual comparison of the company's performance to the obtained benchmark. The benchmark information, if shown, is distinguished from the company's performance graph.

System and method for graphical display of multivariate data

A system and method are disclosed for computing a Health Score. Health data and extrinsic data are received that are parameters for computation of the Health Score. The received data can be combined using an algorithm being implemented as code executing in a processor so as to compute the Health Score of the individual wherein parameters comprising one portion of the data interacts with parameters comprising another portion of the data. Further, the computed Health Score is output to an interface of the user device. Information concerning the parameters' interaction are selectively output to the interface that explain which changes in the parameters are significant drivers of the change in the Health Score.

A passive tracking device, a processor configured to receive information from the tracking device, and a database accessible by the processor, among other elements, are disclosed. A first activity unit having a first start time corresponding to detection of engagement is monitored. A unique health score computation method is disclosed which masks underlying health statistics, yet provides a benchmark for a variety of applications. A system and method for collecting health related information, processing the information into a composite numerical value, and publishing the value is provided. The system includes a computer having a processor, memory, and code modules executing in the processor for implementation of the method. Information concerning a plurality of intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of a user is collected. Weighting factors are applied to the parameter in order control the relative affect each parameter has on the user's calculated numerical. The health score is computed using the processor by combining the weighted parameters in accordance with an algorithm. The numerical value is published to a designated group via a portal, while the underlying parameters remain private. In one implementation, the portal is an internet based information sharing forum.

A tool for use with wrapping paper is manufactured by a process comprising the step of causing a 3D printer to make the tool using an instruction file which is accessible to the 3D printer. The instruction file includes instructions for a hardware processor which define actions to be taken at and by the 3D printer to manufacture the tool. The tool manufactured in accordance with the instruction file comprises a unitary, plastic stick having a length which extends along an axis of elongation, a broad surface, a bracing surface, and first and second opposing sides extending along the length, separated by a width which is substantially less than the length. The first aide has serrations defined in the plastic stick adjacent the bracing surface. The second side has a non-serrated edge defined in the plastic stick proximate to the bracing surface.

Tool for wrapping paper manufactured by 3D printing

A tool for use with wrapping paper comprises a unitary, plastic stick and a length of at least 18 inches. The stick extends linearly and has serrations defined in the plastic stick on a first side and has a non-serrated second side, opposite the first side, separated by a width. The serrations are adjacent a bracing surface and are parallel to the wrapping paper when the bracing surface is disposed on top of the wrapping paper. In particular embodiments, a non-skid feature can be added to the bracing surface, as well as a lip to self-orient the tool relative to the edge of wrapping paper. The tool can be provided within the hollow central core of a roll of wrapping paper, and enclosed therein by a clear plastic wrap. A product resulting from a 3D printing process is also described.

System and method for automated construction of time records based on electronic messages

A system and method for converting a rebate sponsor's offer into an instant credit or price reduction against a follow-on purchase. Rebate requests are obtained at a site on the Internet. The rebate request is tested to confirm that the at least one predetermined criterion has been satisfied. The person making the rebate request is enabled to make the follow-on purchase, with the rebate being converted into the instant credit or price reduction against the total price of the follow-on purchase. The follow-on purchase transaction is completed by charging that person for the purchase. The credit or price reduction can be conditioned on at least one predetermined criterion such as amount being spent on the follow-on purchase, the vendor from which the follow-on purchase is being made, and other criteria. The credit or price reduction can be redeemed in parts across a series of follow-on purchase transactions. In another aspect of the invention, consumers are advised of rebate offers. In this aspect, a server of a credit issuer receives purchase transaction details concerning an item purchase from a vendor, the item purchase is correlated with any rebate offer, and, in the event of a match, the consumer is advised by electronic mail that a rebate is available and can be converted into instant credit or price reduction on a follow-on purchase.

System and method for automated construction of time records based on telephone calls

A machine for toasting a marshmallow loaded on a pick and concurrently melting at least a portion of a chocolate bar provided on a separate support. A housing has an internal heat source, a rotatable pick holder shaped to removably and securely receive a pick and support the marshmallow in proximity to the heat source, and a coupling to rotate a so engaged pick. The coupling can be a manual control gearingly coupled to the pick holder. A moveable cover can support the heat source and place it in proximity with a marshmallow-bearing portion of the pick when in a closed position yet move aside for loading and unloading ingredients. A method for making s'mores toasts marshmallows while actively melting chocolate and provides for selective rotation of the marshmallow within the housing during the toasting step by moving a control that is safely disposed exterior of the housing.
