A warewash machine includes a wash zone having front, left and right access openings. At least one spray arm is disposed above or below the wash zone. A multi-sided hood assembly includes front, left, right and top side sections, the multi-sided hood assembly movable between a lowered closed position for washing and a raised open position for inlet and outlet of wares. The multi-sided hood assembly includes a lower hood unit with front, left and right sides and an upper hood unit with front, left, right and top sides, and a linkage assembly between the lower hood unit and the upper hood unit that causes the upper hood unit and the lower hood unit to move up or down together with the lower hood unit moving faster than the upper hood unit to cause telescoping of the upper hood unit and the lower hood unit as the hood assembly moves.

Warewash machine and related hood construction

A flow through chemical sensor includes a housing having a through passage along which chemical can flow, a sidewall of the housing having first and second openings that communicate with the through passage. A first electrode is mounted on the housing and aligned with the first opening, the first electrode of a plate configuration with a unitary depression that extends through the first opening and to a peripheral edge of the through passage. A second electrode is mounted on the housing and aligned with the second opening, the second electrode of a plate configuration with a unitary depression that extends through the second opening and to the peripheral edge of the through passage. A method of detecting presence or absence of chemical is also provided.

Warewash machine chemical sensor and related system and method

A box-type warewasher includes a housing defining an internal treatment space for receiving wares to be washed and a liquid sump below the treatment space. A wash liquid delivery system includes a wash pump having an input connected to the liquid sump and an output connected to deliver liquid to one or more spray nozzles of the treatment space. A rinse liquid delivery system includes a rinse pump for delivering rinse water to one or more spray nozzles of the treatment space. A condensing system includes a heat exchanger external of the treatment space, and a blower for moving hot moist air from the treatment space across the heat exchanger and back to the treatment space. A controller effects operation of each of the wash liquid delivery system, the rinse liquid deliver system and the condensing system. The controller is configured for carrying out at least one ware cleaning sequence in which: a wash spray operation is carried out by operating the wash pump; subsequent to the wash spray operation a rinse spray operation is carried out by operating the rinse pump; and subsequent to the rinse spray operation a condensing operation is carried out by operating the blower.

Box-type warewasher including heat recovery system for reducing air moisture level at the end of cycle

A warewasher for washing wares includes a chamber for receiving wares. The chamber has an associated liquid delivery system for spraying liquid onto wares within the chamber. A tank collects the sprayed liquid. A liquid recirculation system moves liquid from the tank back to the liquid delivery system. A drain system is located within the tank. The drain system includes a well, a liquid recirculation system inlet within the well and a drain opening within the well. A drain control assembly includes a drain stopper member and a strainer connected with the drain stopper member. When the drain stopper member is positioned to block flow through the drain opening, the strainer is positioned to block passage of tableware into the well. The strainer is mounted for sliding movement along a length of the drain stopper member enabling, when the drain stopper member is raised slightly to permit flow out of the drain opening, the strainer to remain in position to block passage of tableware into the well.

A warewash machine arm includes a body formed of a single piece of sheet metal. Adjacent edge parts of the formed sheet metal mat be sealed, such as by a seam weld, an epoxy or another sealing technique.

Arm construction for warewash machine and method of manufacturing

Apparatus for perforating Z-folding, and further processing long tissue webs to form stacks of Z-folded facial tissues or the like for being packaged in consumer boxes. In one embodiment, two webs are perforated and superimposed at the nip of counterrotating rolls so the perforations of one web are staggered between the perforations of the other web. The webs are Z-folded by vacuum adhering portions of the superimposed webs alternately to the portion of each roll below the nip, drawing the adhered portions back and forth out of the mutual tangent plane forming the nip to start Z-folds. The folds are creased by further means. A continuous stack of Z-folded tissues is formed and can be subdivided into counted stacks of tissue for packaging. In another embodiment, the webs are perforated and superimposed as before, and the web is then alternately directed to first and second folding stations, each of which includes a counterrotating pair of folding rolls which Z-fold the superimposed webs in essentially the same manner as the perforating roll of the first embodiment. When a predetermined length of the superimposed webs has been Z-folded by one folding station, the superimposed webs are transferred to the other folding station. An elevator mechanism associated with each folding station conveys each finished stack away, then returns to receive the next stack to be folded at that station.
