A reusable tamper indicating bag closure for transporting most items in a bag such as documents and portable computing devices including laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, iPods&#xae; . . . etc. that would appeal to a broad spectrum of customers including the individual buyer, the business user, and the government user. The tamper-evident bag closure is defined by a lid with multiple hasps and a base with knobs that attach to the bag and is secured by a locking mechanism placed through an opening on the base and inserted within an insertion aperture such that locking the lock mechanism causes the lid to slide into alignment with the base and engages the plurality of hasps with the plurality of knobs thus securing the bag. The bag closure also has several tamper indicating features including the use of tamper indicating markers, wire seals and tamper indicating labels.

A tamper-evident cargo seal is disclosed, comprising a pin that is passed through a hasp on a shipping container, a body member, a pair of parallel guide members, at least one security label blank, and a cover. One end of the pin is keyed. The body member has a slot through a side surface extending into the interior, and is keyed to receive the pin. Abutting the top surface of the body member are two parallel guide members, bounding an area comprising the top surface of the body member. One of the guide members also has a slot to allow the pin to engage the slot in the body member. One or two removable security label blanks are inserted between the guides after the pin is inserted into the slot, and a security label is affixed over the blanks. A cover engages the body and guide members to protect the label.

Tamper evident cargo seal

A reusable tamper-evident security device for use on a door or container includes a pair of base members, a pair of first leg members, a pair of second leg members, a pair of U-shaped upper members, and a pair of removable security label blanks. A base member, a first leg member, a second leg member, and a U-shaped upper member are abutted, form an inner cavity between the base member and the U-shaped upper member. At least one mounting hole is provided to affix the base member to the door or container. A first guide and a parallel second guide extent perpendicularly from the top surface of the base member, allowing the removable security label blank to be slidably inserted. The U-shaped upper member abutting each base member is oriented to form an oblong shape when the two base members are adjacent the other. An optional security label may be applied to the removable security label blank.

Reusable tamper evident security device

A security paper shredder where the residue of individual shredded document pages are collected in multiple collection bins for disposal, ensuring that no single collection bin contains the residue of any entire page. To further ensure that no adversary could obtain the contents of all the multiple collection bins and reassemble the document, the contents of the collection bins are disposed of at differing times and in geographically dispersed locations.
