The present invention provides a magnetic sink strainer with at least one magnet securely attached to the strainer, to create a magnetic field. The invention also provides a magnetic sink strainer made of a magnetized material to provide a magnetic field. The magnetic sink strainer is firmly placed over a standard sink drain and functions to capture and retain objects that are attracted by a force as a result of being subjected to the magnetic field. This prevents such objects from accidentally being discarded into the sink drain. The magnetic sink strainer also includes at least one slit to enable fluids and other non-magnetic substances to easily and rapidly flow down to the sink drain.

Magnetic sink strainer

The present invention provides a sample container holder for securely holding sample containers of various shapes and sizes. The holder comprises a base having at least one slot extending from an upper portion of the base to a lower portion of the base. The holder further comprises at least one retainer inserted into the slot creating at least a partial enclosed area on the base to accommodate the sample container.

Sample container holder

A laboratory rack assembly for supporting columns and receptacle tubes and other paraphernalia during laboratory procedures such as such as filtration, chromatography, plasma preparation, affinity purification, and so on, includes upper and lower support portions that are connected together for relative sliding movement. An upper rack module is connected to the upper support portion and is configured to receive at least one column. A lower rack module is connected to the lower support portion and is configured to receive at least one receptacle tube. At least one of the rack modules is removably connected to at least one of the support portions. An adjustment mechanism is operably associated with the upper and lower support portions for adjusting a position of one support portion with respect to the other support portion to thereby vary the distance between the upper and lower rack modules.

A utensil for a manually impaired user includes a utensil insert, such as a fork, spoon, knife, tool or other object, and a handle for receiving the utensil insert so that a portion of the utensil insert extends outwardly from the handle. The handle has first and second handle sections that are removably connected together. The first handle section includes a first receptacle and a first projection spaced from the first receptacle while the second handle section includes a second receptacle and a second projection spaced from the second receptacle. The first receptacle is adapted to receive the second projection and the second receptacle is adapted to receive the first projection when the first and second handle sections are connected together.

Eating utensil

A toilet seat elevator assembly includes a mounting bracket for connection to a toilet bowl and a seat elevator removably connected to the mounting bracket. The seat elevator has a generally ring-shaped portion for resting on the toilet bowl and a mounting portion with opposing mounting projections. The mounting bracket has a pair of opposing side panels and an elongate slot formed in each side panel. Each elongate slot is adapted for slidably and rotatably receiving the mounting projections of the mounting portion, so that the seat elevator may be slidably and rotatably mounted to the bracket to facilitate installation, adjustment and removal of the seat elevator with respect to the toilet bowl.

An enclosed magnetic stirring bar arrangement includes a housing formed by front and rear walls interconnected by a peripheral wall, so as to define a substantially hollow interior chamber within said housing. An operational opening is formed within the front wall and at least one discharging aperture is provided in the peripheral wall. A magnetic stirring member is movably positioned within the substantially hollow interior chamber, whereby rotational motion of the magnetic stirring member facilitates entering a liquid into the substantially hollow interior chamber and discharging the liquid from the interior chamber through the at least one discharging aperture.

A spherical vacuum desiccator consists of two substantially identical shells which are connected together at an engagement region. A receiving segment and connecting segment are positioned in a spaced-apart relationship within the engaging region of each hemispherical shell. In the assembled condition of the invention, each hemispherical shell is disposed in an inverted position with respect to the other shell and the connecting segment of the two hemispherical shells engage at the receiving segment.

A non-metallic adapter provided to facilitate the rotation of a doorknob is formed with a cap adapted to receive a doorknob. A lever extends outwardly from the cap. The lever is formed with an internal cavity provided with a plurality of reinforcing members separating the cavity into a plurality of substantially isolated reinforced regions.

A device for producing a solidified block of carbon dioxide includes first and second housing portions removably connectable together. The first and second housing portions form an interior molding chamber that is adapted to receive liquid carbon dioxide at a pressure where expansion of the liquid carbon dioxide occurs, resulting in a mixture of solidified and gaseous carbon dioxide. A pressure relief device includes a biasing member for biasing the first and second housing portions together. The biasing member permits relative movement between the first and second housing portions when internal pressure from the gaseous carbon dioxide exceeds a predetermined amount. With this arrangement, relative movement between first and second housing portions causes gaseous carbon dioxide to be released from the interior molding chamber to thereby reduce the internal pressure.
