A shipping container is provided for transporting biologically hazardous materials. The shipping container includes a rigid gas permeable exterior enclosure and an interior positioned substantially gas impermeable flexible bag. Preferably, the exterior enclosure includes an outer cardboard box and inner foam box made of expanded polystyrene. Preferably, the inner bag is made of polyethylene and includes a conventional open top. Preferably, the bag also includes two laterally extending lines. A first line provides a visual indication to the user where air should be evacuated from the bag. A second line is provided to indicate where the bag should be sealed.

A non-aqueous insecticidal unit comprising an insecticidal composition concentrate in the form of a water soluble or water dispersible gel contained in a cold water soluble or dispersible bag. The bag upon being solubilized or dispersed in water is capable of being used in an agricultural chemical spray unit. The composition comprises a synthetic pyrethroid, a solvent, at least one gelling agent, at least one emulsifier, at least one antifoaming agent, at least one antioxidant and an acidic agent.

A process for activating a titanium or vanadium compound and producing polyethylene comprising (i) dissolving a divalent magnesium halide and a Lewis acid having the formula R.sub.m A1X.sub.n or R.sub.m BX.sub.n wherein R is an alkyl or aromatic radical, each radical having 1 to 12 carbon atoms and each R being alike or different; X is a halogen atom; m is an integer from 0 to 3; n is an integer from 0 to 3; and m+n equals 3, in an excess of electron donor compound selected from the group consisting of alkyl esters of alkyl and aromatic carboxylic acids and alkyl and cycloalkyl ethers, each compound having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, in such a manner that a magnesium halide/Lewis acid/electron donor complex is formed; (ii) separating the complex from excess electron donor compound; and (iii) introducing (a) the complex, the titanium or vanadium compound, and a hydrocarbyl aluminum compound and (b) ethylene into a reactor in such a manner that the titanium or vanadium compound is activated and polyethylene is produced.

A securing mechanism for holding an exercise weight-disc on the end of the lifting bar while allowing a modicum of rotational movement in the disc as the bar is being manipulated by the exerciser. A sleeve-like collarpiece, having a smooth cylindrical bore which has therein a serrated flange, is fitted over the threaded end of a weight lifting bar that has a longitudinal groove passing through the set of threads. The collarpiece is slid onto the threaded end, and into registry with a weight-disc and thereafter rotated so that its rotatable gasket-surfaced face snubs against the weight-disc by virtue of the serrated flange engaging and working in cooperation with the bar threading. A novel ball-bearing/race, inserted in the collarpiece face, and to which the gasket is affixed, provides a rotatably movable base which will allow the weight-disc(s) to undergo a somewhat constrained rotation as the bar is twisted during lifting exercises.
