A pet tracking assembly includes a collar that is wearable around a neck of a pet. A light emitter is coupled to the collar to emit light outwardly from the collar when the light emitter is turned on. A monitoring unit is integrated into the collar and the monitoring unit is in wireless communication with a wireless internet router that is associated with the owner of the pet. The light emitter is turned on when the monitoring unit senses the signal from the wireless internet router has fallen below a pre-determined signal strength. Additionally, the monitoring unit broadcasts an alert to a personal electronic device when the monitoring unit senses the signal from the wireless internet router has fallen below the pre-determined signal strength. In this way the user is alerted that the pet has moved beyond the pre-determined distance from the wireless internet router.

A permanent frost protected shallow foundation footing for a building is assembled from a plurality of form parts arranged in a chain that is partially below ground level to form a foundation perimeter. The form parts are made of a lightweight material such as insulating foam material shaped as an elongated sectional unit with an overhang part overhanging a cavity part of an interior cavity. The interior cavity has an opening for receiving a concrete pour concurrent with a concrete pour of a floor. Open ends of the assembled sectional units abut each other in end-to-end alignment to form an elongated cavity inside the perimeter chain of form parts that is filled with concrete. The overhang part may have a foot shape that fits inside the interior cavity of another form part that may also have a foot shape for compact storage or transport prior to assembly.

An insulating panel to be used in a panelized insulation system for insulating and finishing walls, including basement walls has a foam core made of inorganic materials. The system incorporates a capillary break, an integrated water drainage system and an electrical wire chase system within an insulating wall panel. Vertical slots are provided for insertion of metal studs for use in attaching the interior finish panel, such as inorganic fiber cement board with a vinyl laminate finish, onto the insulating panels. Embedding metal studs in the panel core reduces the sound transmission though the panel and eliminates thermal bridging between warm and cold surfaces. Steps on the edges and the top/bottom surfaces of the insulating panel allow more panels to join together with shiplap joints.

A cover device kit includes: a plurality of heat insulation components comprising a lightweight construction material such as synthetic resin foam capable of being transported in a disassembled state and then quickly assembled into a box-shaped heat barrier structure having six sides including an opening on an open side for covering an opening in a floor or wall of a building. A thermal barrier is formed into a hat-shape by folding sections of an extended length of board formed for assembly and insertion as a barrier to thermal radiation into a space between two joists or studs of a floor, wall, roof, or ceiling of a building for completely covering the space while also covering protruding edges of the joists or studs so as to reduce thermal energy transfer through the joists or studs themselves. A thermal barrier assembly is shown with an outer reflective surface and is also shown for assembly into a form having an inner enclosure for enclosing an inner thermal barrier also having a reflective surface for reducing thermal radiation transfer by reflection and protected from dust by virtue of the enclosure.

Systems and methods for collecting, storing, and redistributing water, which systems and methods make use of building foundations and surface concrete slab structures. A variety of rainwater collectors are anticipated, including rooftop collection systems (e.g., gutters) and ground surface covering structures (driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, and patios). These collection systems are joined together in a collection conduit system that carries the rainwater to one or more rainwater containment vessels. The stored water may then be redistributed, again through a variety of distribution means, to address part or all of the landscape watering requirements of the property. The system takes advantage of standard foundation and slab construction techniques to establish a major portion of the structure required for the containment vessel.

The present invention provides a thermal paper composite precursor comprising (a) a substrate layer; and (b) a base layer positioned on the substrate layer, the base layer comprising a binder and at least one porosity improver wherein the thermal paper composite precursor has a thermal effusivity that is at least about 2% less than the thermal effusivity of porosity improver-less thermal paper composite precursor. A fan-folded insulating board laminate comprises an extended length of synthetic resin foam board having longitudinal edges and protective skins adhered to each surface of the foam board. Reinforcing strips are spaced along both of the longitudinal edges of the laminate and are bonded to both of the skins. They extend about the longitudinal edges, and the laminate has a series of longitudinally spaced cuts through the board and alternately through one of the protective skins. The uncut skin and strip act as a hinge between adjacent sections of the board to enable fan-folding of the laminate.

A porous spacer incorporates a vaporizable corrosion inhibitor. The spacer is designed to be placed on a leader pin between the members of a mold or die set. The spacer is compressed between the members when the latter are stored. The spacer releases the inhibitor, which prevents corrosion during the storage period. The spacer serves to maintain a vapor flow space between the members.

Specially-shaped blocks of foam for use underground as aggregate. Because of protuberances on the faces of the blocks, the blocks fit closely together in only a small number of ways. In filling a volume, the overwhelmingly more likely arrangements provide a reasonably certain percentage void. Thus, the blocks can be transported to an application arranged without any significant void, and then used to fill a volume, providing a reasonably well known percentage void and compressive strength. Use of these foam blocks can provide thermal insulation, cushioning and various combinations of compressive strength and void, depending on the size and shape of the blocks and the size and shape of the protuberances relative to the blocks.

The invention is a filling valve which mounts to a filling machine having a storage tank for filling bottles or containers with liquid. The liquid passage of the filling valve is formed by a valve stem detachably connected with a sleeve. The two-piece design permits easy cleaning, replacing, and interchanging of the valve parts. The sleeve and valve stem are provided with large diameter bores in order to maximize fluid flow and minimize fill time. The bores of the sleeve and valve stem are provided with smooth tapered surfaces to reduce liquid turbulence.

A cooler for storing beverage containers on ice, includes an outer container and a buoyant inner container assembly which is dimensioned to slide vertically within the outer container. A container recess is provided in the upper surface of the inner container assembly to hold beverage containers and ice, and the assembly includes a drain for the liquid formed by melting ice from the recess into the outer container. The inner container assembly has a buoyancy which will float it upon the liquid which is drained into the outer container.
