Devices and methods for providing emergency information. This emergency information device is a portable unit which may be carried to an emergency site. It is operative in response to parameter entries by the rescuer according to the victim's condition to provide sequential procedural displays of medical standard rescue steps for assisting the rescuer in carrying out the correct rescue operation. The standard rescue procedure is stored in a microprocessor which, if necessary, can be re-programmed to update to a new rescue standard procedure. It includes a recall feature operative for reverse searching of any desired step in the display if the condition of the victim changes during the rescue operation. Additionally, distinct tone signals are emitted at selected steps of the rescue operation procedure to assist the rescuer in memorizing and conducting such steps in the rescue.

Emergency information apparatus and method

A building facade material generally includes a plurality of elongate stone strips and a plurality of backing strips adhered thereto with an elastic adhesive disposed between adjoining backing strips for enabling front sides of the elongate stone strips to abut one another when the backing strips are adhered to a curved surface. A method for preparing a stone facade for a curved surface, in accordance with the present invention, generally includes the steps of adhering a sheet of backing material to a sheet of stone, thereafter cutting the stone sheet with the adhesive backing sheet into elongate stone strips with elongate backing strips adhered thereto. Thereafter, the elongate backing strips are adhered to one another with an elastic adhesive. In addition, the stone strips and the backing strips may be beveled for enabling the backing sheets to be disposed on a curved surface, while distorting the elastic adhesive in order to cause the front sides of the stone elongate strips to abut one another.

Contoured marble and method of fabrication

A building facade material includes a plurality of elongate stone strips held in an abutting relationship on a flexible mesh when in a plane with the flexible mesh enabling the strips to be adhered to a curved surface, with a V-shaped area between strips suitable for grouting, between adjacent elongate stone strips. The elongate stone strips have a thickness which enables the strips to be ground to an arcuate contour without exposing the flexible mesh. A color-matching settable material is provided for grouting the V-shaped areas between the elongate strips. The method for applying a stone facade includes the steps of adhering a plurality of abutting elongate strips of stone attached to a flexible backing over a curved surface, grouting the groutable spaces with a settable material and thereafter grinding the entire composite into a smooth, arcuate, non-seamed, solid-stone appearing arcuate surface or column.
