An application software platform is provided for use in a process plant or other environment to enable various different applications to run, to obtain access to, and to use data from various different assets in the plant or other asset environment in a consistent and easily understood manner. The software platform includes a class-based object structure or model that is set up and used to organize and to efficiently provide access to data about, generated by, or obtained from the assets in the plant. This class-based object structure may be used to provide efficient and organized communications between the various monitoring or other applications and the plant assets or sources of data. The class-based object structure is extensible and includes or defines various hierarchies of class objects that, in turn, define various levels of the assets or other physical or logic entities being monitored (i.e., from which or about which data is being obtained), as well as properties and behaviors of the assets or physical or logical entities being monitored.

Extensible asset classes in a monitoring system having a common platform

A system collects and manages sets of asset data that are indicative of operational performance of physical assets disposed at multiple physical locations in a plant. The system includes a database that associates each set of asset data to (1) a location at which the data was collected, (2) the asset for which the data was collected, and (3) the monitoring device that was used to collect the data. In this way, each location has its own history of all asset data ever collected on all assets disposed at that location, and its own history of all monitoring devices used to collect data at that location. Also, each asset has its own history of all asset data collected on that asset at all locations at which it was disposed and for all monitoring devices. This sort of asset data is referred to herein as multi-referenced data.

Apparatus and method for maintaining multi-referenced stored data

A lightweight millimeter wave outdoor unit includes a lightweight housing with a heat sink and mounting member configured for mounting on the antenna to form a wireless link. A millimeter wave transceiver board is formed of ceramic material and mounted within the housing. It includes a millimeter wave transceiver circuit that has microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) chips and operable with the transmit and receive boards. An intermediate frequency (IF) board has components forming an intermediate frequency circuit operable with the millimeter wave transceiver circuit. A frequency synthesizer board has a signal generating circuit for generating local oscillator signals to the transceiver circuit. A controller board has surface mounted DC and low frequency discrete devices thereon forming power and control circuits that supply respective power and control signals to other circuits on other boards. A quick connect/disconnect assembly is operative with the housing for allowing the housing to be rapidly connected and disconnected to the antenna circuit contact members interconnect circuits between boards.

Highly integrated microwave outdoor unit (ODU)

The present invention comprises a pair of wheels mounted on a stub shaft, the outer surfaces of the wheels being bevelled to facilitate entering into a kerf. The wheels are mounted in a slot formed in the blade of a woodcutting implement which carries the cutting teeth.

Anti-kerf bind device

A modifiable utility outlet box cover element formed of thin, metallic sheet material useable without modification in a substantially square form in closing a substantially square utility outlet box including slots through which screws may be passed into engagement with screw receiving means carried by such utility outlet box. The four corner portions of such utility outlet box cover element, two of which include such slots, are readily separable from the remainder thereof along slots cut deeply into one of the surfaces of such utility outlet box cover element; such remainder of such utility outlet box cover element being shaped and proportioned to close octagonally shaped or round utility outlet boxes and including knock-out portions which, when readily separated from the remainder of such utility outlet box cover element, provide openings through which screws may be passed into engagement with screw receiving means carried by such octagonal or round utility outlet boxes.
