A probe system for facilitating the inspection of a device under test. System incorporates a storage rack; a probe bar gantry assembly; a probe assembly configured to electrically mate the device under test; and a robot system for picking the probe assembly from the storage rack and deliver the probe assembly to the probe bar gantry. The robot system is also enabled to pick a probe assembly from the probe bar gantry and deliver the probe assembly to the storage rack. The probe assembly includes a clamping assembly for attaching the probe assembly to the probe bar gantry or the storage rack. The probe assembly may include an array of contact pins configured to mate with conductive pads on the device under test when the probe assembly is installed on the probe bar gantry assembly.

Automatic probe configuration station and method therefor

A tank-to-tank penstock electric generator system includes a water storage tank having a storage tank lower end with a water release port; a water receiving tank below the level of the water storage tank having a receiving tank upper end with a water receiving opening; a water wheel rotatably mounted on a water wheel mounting structure and having a water wheel rotational axis positioned substantially below the level of the water release port and extending above the level of the water receiving opening; and an electric generator having a generator rotor drivably connected to the water wheel through a drivable connection, so that rotation of the water wheel rotates the generator rotor; so that water flows out of the water storage tank through the water release port, over the water wheel and into the water receiving tank through the water receiving opening, thereby rotating the water wheel and the generator rotor and generating electricity.

Tank-to-tank penstock electric generator system

A method of dispersing flux in molten metal includes providing a source of flux powder and a source of gas. An impeller is disposed on an end of a shaft inside the impeller chamber of a base made of heat resistant material. The base is submerged in the molten metal and includes a molten metal inlet opening into the impeller chamber and a molten metal discharge passageway extending from the impeller chamber to an exterior of the base. Molten metal is drawn through the inlet opening into the impeller chamber by rotation of the impeller in the impeller chamber. The molten metal is moved out of the impeller chamber through the discharge passageway by the rotation of the impeller. A discharge stream of molten metal travels through the discharge passageway into the molten metal exterior to the base. The gas flows from the gas source into a refractory flux conduit. The flux conduit extends from outside the molten metal into fluid communication with the discharge passageway. The flux solids move from the flux source to the flux conduit. The flux solids flow along the interior of the flux conduit by virtue of the flowing gas. The gas and flux solids are injected into the discharge stream in the discharge passageway. The flux solids are dispersed in the molten metal of the chamber.

Flux injection with pump for pumping molten metal

A system performs continuous full linear scan of a flat media. The system includes, in part, a chuck, and at least first, second and third gantries. The chuck is adapted to support the flat media during the test. The first gantry includes at least one linear array of non-contacting sensors that spans the width of the flat media and is adapted to move across an entire length of the flat media. Each of the second and third gantries includes a probe head that spans the width of the flat media and each is adapted to apply an electrical signal to the flat media. Each probe head is further adapted to move along a direction substantially perpendicular to the surface of the flat media during the times when the first gantry is in motion and while test signals are being continuously applied.

Continuous linear scanning of large flat panel media

A modular split-axis stage is used to inspect and/or repair large flat glass media suitable for LCD/TFT applications. Low-precision air table sections are detachably mounted to a centrally located, high-precision granite inspection/repair section. Glass media held by a vacuum contact is transported on air cushions from the up-web air table to the central inspection/repair section. Vacuum nozzles integrated with porous medium pads precisely control the height of the flexible media above the central section during inspection or repair. Embodiments includes structures in which the media is either stationary or moving during inspection/repair. A first media can be loaded/unloaded while a second media is undergoing inspection or repair in a pipelined operational mode.

High precision gas bearing split-axis stage for transport and constraint of large flat flexible media during processing

Methods, apparatuses, and systems are presented for positioning a sensing head relative to a workpiece, involving a control unit operative to provide a plurality of control signals to iteratively control positioning of the sensing head relative to the workpiece, a plurality of air injectors disposed and fixedly connected on a periphery of the sensing head, each of the air injectors capable of being independently controlled to eject a gas between the sensing head and the workpiece to create an air bearing and affect positioning of the sensing head relative to the workpiece in response to at least one of the control signals, and a plurality of sensors providing a plurality of feedback signals to the control unit, the feedback signals containing information relating to positioning of an optical imaging sensing head relative to the workpiece.

Sensing head positioning system using two-stage offset air bearings

A mechanical system for handling large and thin glass plates of dimensions as much as 2 m by 2 m by 0.5 mm, such as used to manufacture LCD panels in LCD panel testers, provides for positioning of the repair and inspection equipment by using lightweight hollow chucklets in air-bearing and vacuum contact with the glass plate under test, balanced on a rail along the center of mass for translation without warping. The elimination of a heavy rigid platform results in significantly reduced hardware costs, flexibility in processing and improved positioning performance.

Integrated large glass handling system

A cover assembly for a car comprising a flexible roll-up cover and a positioning arrangement for the cover. The positioning arrangement includes a roller on which the cover can be wound and rear and front sleeves that can be mounted on the car to extend horizontally from side to side above the car at its rear and front ends. Each sleeve slidably receives extension tubes that can be slid out laterally. The flexible cover has a central top segment which extends between the rear and front sleeves, front, back and side flap segments which hang down from the top segment, and an end segment connecting the top segment to the roller so that the entire cover can be wound on the roller. The side flap segments carry straps at their front and rear edges with VELCRO hook-and-loop fastener elements. When the side flap segments hand down the straps attach them to the front and back flap segments. When the side flap segments are raised, the straps attach them to the extension tubes to provide lateral extensions of the top segment.

Adjustable cover assembly for an automobile vehicle

A game apparatus having flexible and resilent, elongated, player's wands and a game board with side openings for the insertion of the wands. Between the side openings the game board has a labyrinthine maze of interconnected curved passageways connecting the side openings. The maze is formed by several series of circularly arranged vertical rollers and vertical posts in the paths between different series of the rollers. Each wand has a tapered leading end which determines the path it takes through the maze.
