A framework section having a connection region which is formed on the end face of at least one of its two ends. The connection region can be connected to the connection region of a further framework section. The framework section can include two upper chord sections and two lower chord sections, which extend parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction of the framework section and are connected to one another by connecting struts such that they define a cuboid space. The upper chord sections and the lower chord sections can have a tubular cross section, wherein the upper chord sections and the lower chord sections can also be configured to transition from the tubular cross section into an I-shaped cross section in the connection region.

This application relates to a method for installing a support structure for a passenger transport system in a construction. The support structure comprises a framework made of load-bearing framework components connected to each other. The method includes placing a plurality of individual framework components, having connection openings designed therein, at an installation position within the construction; and assembling the framework on or near the installation position within the construction by connecting the framework components to each other by way of load-bearing connector components, in that a respective connector component is arranged to reach through adjacently arranged connection openings of at least two adjacent framework components and is then deformed in respect of the outside geometry thereof, such that they completely fill out the connection openings they reach through, without play.

A support system supports the two ends of a passenger-transportation device in a built structure. The support systemhas a swiveling support-point at a first end with a vertical swivel-axis. The second end contains a floating support-point for absorbing horizontal movements perpendicular to the swivel-axis. The floating support-point has at least one rolling element by means of which a sliding friction caused by the occurrence of horizontal movements in the floating support-point can be transformed into combined sliding-and-rolling friction or rolling friction.

The invention relates to a transparent balustrade () of an escalator () or of a moving walk, comprising a balustrade skirt (), at least one glass panel (), and a handrail guide () with a handrail (). The at-least one glass panel () has an upper edge () and a lower end () and, at its lower end (), is gripped in a mounting () in the balustrade skirt () in locationally fixed manner. The transparent balustrade () contains at least one support (), which is tightly joined to the balustrade skirt (). A method of producing a load-bearing steel construction connection, wherein a clinch connection () connecting a first metal workpiece () with a second metal workpiece () is formed by local deformation by means of a die tool () and a counter-tool (). An escalator or moving walk has a truss that is supported in the area of its extreme ends. In the area between its two extreme ends, the truss has at least one tension element which, at a first end, is connected mechanically to the truss, and at a second end is connected to a fastening point. The tension element is constructed and tensioned such that it exerts a tensile force on the truss that acts at least partly in the direction of the earth's gravitational force.

For reduction in externally excited oscillations there is provided at an escalator or a moving walkway an oscillation damper which is connected with the escalator or the moving walkway within a self-supporting region, preferably at the point of greatest oscillation displacement. An escalator or moving walkway comprises at least one support structure which is supported between bearings. At least one upstanding support, which may be an arch or column, is provided. The support structure is connected at several points to the arch or the column, preferably by cables or rods. The columns or arches may be provided at each of the two sides of the moving walkway or the escalator and if the columns or arches and converge or run together above the escalator or moving walkway.

Escalator or moving walkway with overhead support

An escalator or moving walkway includes a support structure supported between the rests at a cable, which is arranged laterally or below the support structure. According to the invention there is provided in the region of each rest a respective lever which is rotatably mounted at the support structure and is slidingly supported by one arm at the building structure, the cable being fastened to the other arm of the lever so that the cable is additionally tensioned when the support structure bends. In this manner, the construction is very stiff so that the escalator bends only slightly even under heaving loading.

An escalator and moving walkway construction has spaced first and second basic wall supports arranged laterally of a step or plate conveying run. The rigidity of such a support construction is enhanced, in the case of use with large support widths, in that at least one respective supplementary wall support is laterally flange-mounted to each of the basic wall supports of the support construction.

A device for the guidance of an endless belt for escalators or moving walkways in an endless belt of an escalator or a moving walkway, the chain rollers are guided by way of a support rail having a running track and by way of a compensating rail having a running track, and at the entry of a chain wheel, which deflects the endless belt, the chain rollers move from the rectilinear running track of the support rail onto the curved running track of the compensating rail and move from the compensating rail, at a tangent point, into engagement with the chain wheel, with the chain rollers being displaced, towards the chain wheel, by a spacing (h.sub.0), during the movement thereof, from the running track of the support rail to the tangent point, with the spacing being measured transversely to the running direction, in the direction extending at right angles to the running direction, with this displacement having an advantageous effect on the quietness of operation of the endless belt.
