A method for patient setup includes: obtaining a first two-dimensional movie having a first plurality of image frames; obtaining a first plurality of two-dimensional images; and displaying the first plurality of two-dimensional images together with the image frames from the first two-dimensional movie in an overlay configuration and in a synchronized manner, wherein the act of displaying is performed during a patient setup procedure. A method for patient setup includes: obtaining a plurality of three-dimensional images; obtaining a first two-dimensional movie having a first plurality of image frames; determining a first plurality of two-dimensional images from the plurality of three-dimensional images; and displaying the first plurality of two-dimensional images together with the image frames from the first two-dimensional movie in an overlay configuration and in a synchronized manner, wherein the act of displaying is performed during a patient setup procedure.

Patient setup using respiratory gated and time resolved image data

Methods and systems are proposed herein for generative adaptive, multi-resolution images efficiently without intensive processing and/or memory consumption or hardware requirements. According to one aspect of the claimed subject matter, a system is provided that includes a computing workstation, communicatively coupled to both a data storage device and an image acquisition device. Real time images acquired by the image acquisition device are presented to the user along with one or more digitally reconstructed radiographs (DRRs)&#x2014;generated using dynamically selected rendering techniques&#x2014;from previously acquired image data. The user is able to verify the DRRs as a match to the verification image, and subsequently to dynamically generate additional DRRs more suitable by actuating a portion of the generated DRR. Based on the user actuation, a new DRR is generated and presented to the user for verification.

Method for dynamically generating an adaptive multi-resolution image from algorithms selected based on user input

A method of evaluating a portal dose image includes obtaining a template from a database, the template prescribing one or more evaluation criteria, receiving a first portal dose image, and using a processor to evaluate the first portal dose image based at least in part on the one or more evaluation criteria from the template. In some embodiments, a second image is automatically evaluated after the first image is evaluated. A system for evaluating a portal dose image includes a processor that is communicatively coupled to a database, the database having a template that prescribes one or more evaluation criteria, wherein the processor is configured to obtain the template from the database, receive a first portal dose image, and evaluate the first portal dose image based at least in part on the one or more evaluation criteria from the template.

Method for interactive manual matching and real-time projection calculation in imaging

A semiautomatic drawing tool is configured to generate an image segmentation contour that corresponds to a visible edge within a digital image. Individual contour points define the shape and location of the image segmentation contour, and the semiautomatic drawing tool determines the locations of these contour points based on both user input and on the location of a steep luminance gradient that corresponds to the visible edge. The semiautomatic drawing tool determines the location of a particular point of the image segmentation contour based on the current location of an input device pointer, e.g., a cursor, the location of the steepest luminance gradient, and the location of previously selected points of the image segmentation contour.
