A light fixture includes a housing, a light source, and a zoom mechanism. The light source is supported within the housing and emits light. The zoom mechanism selectively varies a beam angle of the light emitted from the light fixture and includes a lens and a movable element. The lens is fixed relative to the light source. The movable element is movable relative to the lens between a first position and a second position. The lens reflects a portion of the light emitted by the light source via internal reflection when the movable element is in the first position. The movable element is closer to at least a portion of the lens when the movable element is in the second position to at least partially frustrate the internal reflection.

Zoom mechanism for a light fixture

A lighting fixture including a light source including an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a reflector including a input end adjacent the array of LEDs and an output end opposite the input end such that the light source emits light through the reflector from the input end through the output end. The reflector further includes a first, a second, a third, and a fourth sidewall that extend from the input end to the output end. The first and the second sidewalls each include an interior surface, the third and the fourth sidewalls each include an interior surface having a reflectivity that is more diffuse than the interior surfaces of the first and second sidewalls. A lens is adjacent the output end of the reflector.

Lighting fixture

A lighting fixture including a light source having an array of light emitting diodes (LEDs); a reflector having an input end adjacent the array of LEDs and an output end opposite the input end such that the light source emits light through the reflector from the input end through the output end; and a tandem lens array adjacent the output end of the reflector. The tandem lens array includes a first side that faces toward the array of LEDs and a second side that is opposite the first side, wherein the first side includes an array of lenses and the second side includes an array of lenses.

A cyc light assembly comprising a base having a front opening, a lighting element supported by the base, a first reflector (e.g., a specular reflector) positioned on a rear side of the lighting element, and a lens positioned in the front opening. The lens includes a plurality of cylinder lens portions that preferably are substantially parallel to each other and substantially horizontally oriented. A diffuser can be positioned to cover the front opening. In one embodiment, a central axis of the lighting element intersects the first reflector (e.g., at a midsection). A recycling reflector can be positioned in front of the lens, and side reflectors can be positioned on opposing sides of the lighting element. Preferably, the side reflectors are substantially planar and are angled to diverge from each other toward the front direction and toward an upward direction, away from the lighting element.

Methods, luminaires and systems for matching a composite light spectrum to a target light spectrum are disclosed. Method embodiments may be optimized for simultaneously maximizing luminous output with minimal chromaticity error. Method embodiments may further be optimized for simultaneously minimizing both chromaticity and spectral error. Embodiments of the present invention may be used with composite light sources having four or more distinct dominant colors within the visible spectrum.
