A splitter plate for an arc extinguishing chamber in a switching device, the splitter plate including a base portion; a pair of arms extending from the base portion; a recess for a movable contact defined between the arms; and a slot in each arm; wherein the recess is arranged between the slots. An arc extinguishing chamber for a switching device is also provided. A switching device for breaking an electric current, the switching device including a plurality of splitter plates or an arc extinguishing chamber is also provided.

A switching device for breaking an electric current including a main contact carrier, movable and stationary main contacts, the movable contact attached to the main contact carrier, an arcing contact carrier, a movable and stationary arcing contacts, the movable arcing contact attached to the arcing contact carrier and the stationary arcing contact arranged in parallel with the stationary main contact, and an actuating unit for the main and arcing contact carriers between open and close position at an actuating distance, wherein there are separation distances between the stationary and movable contacts of the main and arcing contact units respectively when the current is interrupted. The switching device further includes a first rack and a first gear for actuating the arcing contact carrier so that, when interrupting the current, a separation distance between the arcing contacts is longer than a separation distance between the main contacts.

Switching device

An electrical contact tip for switching applications. The contact tip includes a body having a first layer and a second layer. The first layer arranged on the second layer and adapted to come in contact with a corresponding contact tip during switching operations. The first and second layers consist of Ag-composites of one or more elements, compounds or alloys, where the hardness of the first layer is lower than the hardness of the second layer.

Electrical contact tip for switching applications and an electrical switching device

A contactor has a frame including a base unit, a coil provided on the base unit and including input terminals, and a module including a circuit board for electrically controlling the coil, the circuit board including input terminals for power supply and output terminals for providing an electrical connection to the coil. The contactor further includes a fastening device arranged for mechanically and electrically connecting one of the output terminals to a corresponding input terminal of the coil, and the module is designed such that the fastening device connects the output terminal of the circuit board to the input terminal of the coil while at the same time the module is connected to the frame.

A mechanical switching device including a base member, at least one pair of elongated conductor members mounted on the base member, each conductor member with a conductor end, wherein the conductor ends of the pair of conductor members are separated by a gap, a middle member mounted on the base member, a switch member adapted to establish and disestablish an electrical connection between the conductor ends of the pair of conductor members. Each of the conductor members includes an opening in which a respective protruding part is received. The protruding parts are provided on and extend from the middle member so that the conductor members are electrically isolated and protected from the surrounding environment around the device.
