Provided herein is a dosimetry device for quantifying the dosage of radiation emitted from a radiation source, the device comprising: (i) a radiation dose indicator; (ii) an optical means to capture the color change; and (iii) a software means to compare the optical density of the dose indicator as compared to a predetermined calibration curve. Also provided herein is a method of quantifying the dosage of radiation emitted from the radiation source. Further provided herein is use of said dosimetry device in various medical, food and industrial applications.

The present invention provides coating compositions for forming a toner coating and inkjet receptive coatings on a substrate containing a film forming polymer comprising (a) a monomer (monomer A) comprising at least one functionalized or unfunctionalized acryloyl moiety and at least one lactam moiety. (b) a N-vinyl amide monomer (monomer B), (c) an optional cross-linker (monomer B) and (d) a solvent. The coating compositions may further comprise an additional hydrophobic monomer moiety. The present invention relates to a polymer comprising an N-vinyl amide monomer and a dual functional monomer. In the case where the dual functional monomer incorporates a glycidyl acrylate, a third polymerizable monomer is also included. The polymer can be varied in charge.

This invention provides hydrophobic compositions for forming hydrophobic toner receptive coatings on a substrate. The hydrophobic coating compositions for forming toner receptive coatings on a substrate contain a hydrophobic polymer comprising: (a) a maleic anhydride monomer, (b) a non-reactive hydrophobic monomer moiety, and (c) a solvent. The coating compositions may further comprise (d) a substituted or unsubstituted monomer comprising a cyclic ether or an acetoacetate, or mixtures thereof. The invention also provides compositions suitable for addition to toner to enhance adhesion and toner substrates coated with the hydrophobic coating compositions. The present invention provides coating composition for forming a toner receptive coating on a substrate containing a polymer comprising: (a) a N-vinyl amide monomer, (b) a vinyl acetate monomer, (c) a substituted or unsubstituted monomer comprising a cyclic ether, and (d) a solvent. The coating compositions may further comprise a (e) non-reactive hydrophobic monomer. The invention also provides substrates coated with the toner receptive coatings. 

Coating compositions for forming toner receptive coatings

This present application relates to microcapsules or compositions containing microcapsules wherein the microcapsules comprise a polymerizable lactamic copolymer. More particularly, certain aspects are directed to the use of polymerizable lactamic copolymers in the formation of coatings on microencapsulated particles. These polymerizable lactamic copolymers can result in surface modified microencapsulated particles that may be anionic, non-ionic, or cationic.
