A method of remotely managing a transport climate control system (TCCS) includes a remote management device receiving performance data from the TCCS. The performance data based on one or more detected operating parameters of the climate control circuit. The method also including the remote management device providing the performance data to one or more user devices. A remote management system includes a remote management device configured to receive performance data for a climate control circuit from a climate controller of a TCCS and to provide the performance data to one or more user devices. A TCCS includes a controller configured to: generate performance data based on the one or more detected operating parameters of a climate control circuit, and transmit the performance data to a remote monitoring device. The climate controller also configured to receive an operating instruction from the remote monitoring device.

Transport climate control remote management

A method of controlling a transport climate control system includes detecting for leaking of working fluid from a climate control circuit. The method also includes isolating a high-pressure side of the climate control circuit when leaking of the working fluid is detected. A method of controlling a transport climate control circuit includes detecting for overcharge and/or an undercharge of the climate control circuit. A transport climate control system includes a climate control circuit and a climate controller that is configured to detect for working fluid leaking from the climate control circuit. The climate controller configured to isolate a high-pressure side of the climate control circuit when leaking of the working fluid is detected.

Systems and methods for transport climate control circuit management and isolation

Technologies described herein are directed to isolating or insulating at least portions of an evaporator coil within a climate control unit (CCU) of a TCCS so as to reduce or even eliminate adverse effects caused by a leaked working fluid. Such adverse effects may include a threat of ignition, asphyxiation of occupants, damage to cargo, and other harmful effects caused by emission of a noxious gas. A leak isolation structure is provided to isolate evaporator tubes of an evaporator coil from at least one of a plurality of turns of the evaporator coil.

A method of feedthrough and overcurrent protection of a sealed compressor used in a transport climate control system ('TCCS') is provided. The TCCS includes a climate control circuit with a sealed compressor. The sealed compressor includes an outer housing and an electrical motor within the outer housing. The method includes operating the sealed compressor to compress a working fluid by supplying electrical power to the electric motor of the sealed compressor via a sealed electrical feedthrough in the outer housing of the sealed compressor. The method also includes detecting an operating parameter of the sealed electrical feedthrough, and determining whether the sealed electrical feedthrough is in a melting condition based on the detected operating parameter. Also, the method includes adjusting operation of the climate control circuit upon determining that the sealed electrical feedthrough is in the melting condition until the sealed electrical feedthrough is no longer in the melting condition.

Systems and methods for protecting sealed compressor electrical feedthrough

Technologies are provided for preventing a working fluid leak from pooling and thus diluting any leaked working fluid from air within a condenser and/or evaporator compartment of the CCU. This can include a computer-readable medium that stores executable instructions that, upon execution, prevent a working fluid leak from pooling within a climate-control unit (CCU) of a transport climate control system. This also includes detecting fulfillment of activation threshold conditions in connection with the CCU. Also, this includes activating a fan in at least one of a condenser unit and an evaporator unit included in the CCU to dilute leaked working fluid from air within the CCU. Further, this includes detecting fulfillment of de-activation threshold conditions and de-activation of an activated fan.

Air management system for climate control unit of a transport climate control system

Embodiments to help detect operation conditions of a compressor of a TRU in real time by a genset are disclosed. The operation conditions of the compressor can be determined by monitoring a parameter pattern of the genset, such as value changes of a horsepower, a torque, an exhaust temperature, fuel consumption and/or a RPM of a prime mover of the genset, or a current drawn from a generator of the genset, over a period of time. In one embodiment, when a scroll compressor is used in the TRU, the scroll compressor may start a periodical load/unload duty cycle when the TRU reaches its setpoint. The periodical load/unload duty cycle of the scroll compressor can be detected based on a corresponding fluctuation pattern in genset parameters. When this periodically fluctuating pattern of ECU parameters and/or current drawn is detected, the prime mover can be switched to a low operation speed.

Methods and systems to detect an operation condition of a compressor

A system and method for temperature control for a Transport Refrigeration System (TRS) is provided. Particularly, a method for temperature control of an internal space of a refrigerated transport unit is provided. The method includes determining a measured internal space temperature within the internal space of the refrigerated transport unit. The method also includes calculating, via a TRS controller, a temperature difference between the measured internal space temperature and a desired set point temperature. Also, the method includes adjusting, via the TRS controller, a duty cycle percentage of a liquid line solenoid valve and/or a hot gas solenoid valve based on the temperature difference to control an amount of refrigerant directed to the thermal expansion device and the evaporator and/or an amount of hot gas directed to the evaporator.

System and method of temperature control for a transport refrigeration system

A generator set for a transport refrigeration unit that is operable at a first frequency and a second frequency. The generator set includes a generator and a prime mover. The generator set is controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU) that is coupled to a controller. The ECU is configured to monitor the engine operation condition to obtain an engine operation condition value; whereas the controller is configured to receive the engine operation condition value and compare the value with an engine operation condition threshold. When the engine operation condition value, for example, exceeds the engine operation condition threshold, the controller instructs the ECU to operate the engine at a first speed; and when the engine operation condition value, for example, is below the engine operation condition threshold, the controller instructs the ECU to operate the engine at a second speed that is slower than the first speed.

Control system for a generator

A generator assembly for mounting to a container. The generator assembly includes a container frame having a top casting and a receiver bracket. The generator assembly includes a frame, a generator coupled to the frame, a clamp mounting system including a first clamp coupled to the frame and configured to be coupled to the top casting, and a pin mounting system including a first bracket coupled to the frame and configured to be coupled to the receiver bracket. The generator assembly is such that one of the first clamp and the first bracket is repositionable on the frame to avoid interference with the container when the other of the first clamp and the first bracket is coupled to the corresponding one of the top casting and the receiver bracket.

A transport refrigeration system includes an engine, a generator set, and a refrigeration system. An electronic control unit and/or a reefer controller are configured to obtain an engine operation condition value and a transport refrigeration system operation value respectively. A genset controller is configured to determine a fuel efficient engine operation speed that is associated with the engine and/or transport refrigeration system operation condition value. The genset controller instructs the electronic control unit to operate the engine at the fuel efficient operation speed.
