There is provided a method that includes (a) including in a dataset, data indicative of a time, (b) executing a hash function on the dataset to yield a hash value, and (c) employing the hash value as a password for a user to access a device. There are also provided systems that perform the methods and storage devices that contain instructions for causing processors to perform the methods.

Offline authentication with embedded authorization attributes

In an IP-based mobile communications system, the Mobile Node changes its point of attachment to the network while maintaining network connectivity. The present invention improves the attachment of the Mobile Node to the IP mobile communications system by allowing a AAA Broker Server to maintain client information necessary to establish the a secure Mobile Node connection to the home network.
