A solution for managing branding for an entity is provided. The solution can generate a brand style guide by analyzing electronic entity identity resources, which are representative of one or more branding strategies for the entity. The analysis can include extracting entity brand attributes from each electronic entity identity resource. Illustrative entity brand attributes can include one or more of: image data, font data, color data, or text. An ad hoc style guide, which can include at least one branding strategy for the entity can be generated and provided for presentation to a user.

Brand-based product management with branding analysis

A solution for evaluating a compatibility of a selected finishing with printed data of a document is provided. A page model is obtained for a page of the document, and its compatibility with a model of the selected finishing is evaluated. Each model can comprise a representation of a page/finishing (e.g., a bitmap) and/or a set of properties of the page/finishing. In an embodiment of the invention, the page model comprises a page bitmap and the finishing model comprises a finishing bitmap, which includes a set of impinged pixels. The two bitmaps are compared to determine whether any of the printed data in the page bitmap intersects any of the impinged pixels.

Finishing compatibility evaluation

A solution for evaluating a printing configuration for an electronic document in which one or more presentation attributes of a physical reproduction (e.g., a printed copy) of the electronic document are considered. The high volume and varied makeup of modern printing needs may render some confused as to the best printing mode for a given job. The Manager may serve as an intermediary agency to direct print jobs to one or more particular printing methods, internal or external document production agencies, printers, and/or the like that are deemed most suitable for the printing job at hand. In an embodiment, the Manager may comprise a single print driver that may be installed on a local computer system. Once installed, a Manager print option may appear among the other printer options in a print menu. By selecting the Manager print option and issuing a print command, a user may direct his or her print job directly to the Manager for analysis and routing to an appropriate printing method, printer, agency, and/or the like.

Apparatuses, methods and systems for rich internet/cloud printing and print product traffic control management

The invention generally relates to sending data (e.g. print data or a document), in a network environment, to a port monitor, and to upload the data to an upload manager for storing in a database. Relevant data may be sent from a print spooler to the port monitor invoking an upload manger to convey (e.g. securely or non-securely) print data to a web server. A version manager determines whether the print driver being used to print data is authentic, and data are written to a web server as packets of information and sent to a database for storage. Additionally, a system, method and recordable medium are recognized whereby a pass through (e.g. a port monitor filter) is inserted between a print spooler and a port monitor in order to detach the port monitor from the print spooler such that object code can be upgraded for future versions of software.

System, method and recordable medium for previewing a document over the network

This invention relates to a system and method to upload and recover print jobs over a network. A client sends to a server a request for a specific document to be uploaded for transfer across a network. The sever creates an object to identify and process the request. The server sends a response to the client indicating that the request has been received and an associated object has been created. The server stores packets of the data document as they are uploaded and transmitted. Once the complete document has been uploaded and transferred to the server, it is stored in a network accessible data store.
