A filtration vessel is provided with improved sealing surfaces and alignment methods. The sealing surface is provided by a perforated sleeve within the filtration vessel. An alignment mechanism is provided which allows for improved servicing of the filtration vessel.

Enhanced filter support basket

Improvements to filtration and vessels such as for filtration and coalescing of gas streams are shown. A filter element with a partial treated region and untreated region such as providing different surface energies or other filtration characteristics are provided. Various keying arrangements for compatibility and/or rotational locking are shown between the filtration vessel, a tubular coalescing baffle, and/or filter element. The tubular coalescing baffle also may include non-louvered pore structure, which provides for more even flow in a two stage type filtration vessel to prevent premature exiting and reduction of flow velocities along the second stage, and/or may additionally or alternatively include drainage apertures such as drain slot formed along a gravitational bottom or otherwise to facilitate additional drainage of coalesced liquid as opposed to letting such liquid be forced through fluid velocity toward the open end of the tubular baffle.

Filter elements, coalescing baffles, filtration vessel and methods

There is disclosed a liquid filter system that includes a liquid filter apparatus configured to self-clean without removal of the filter apparatus from the filter system. The filter apparatus uses both a filter media for filtering solids as well as a spin motion imparted to fluid being filtered so that centrifugal force can remove solids from the liquid being filtered. The liquid filter system also includes a gas pulse nozzle in fluid communication with the liquid filter apparatus and is configured to flow gas into the filter media to expel water and debris trapped in the filter media without removing the filter media from the filter system.

Fluid treatment system

Multi-stage filtration apparatus is provided. A fluid is forced through different filter stage elements allowing for removal of various contaminants from the fluid.

Multi-stage filter element assembly

A single support core for a filter media assembly. The single support core includes a single longitudinal tube extending between a first end and a second end. A plurality of orifices are defined in the tube, the orifices align circumferentially along the longitudinal length of the tube. A first plurality of portions defined between the first end and an intermediate annular ring joint and a second plurality of portions defined between the intermediate annular ring joint and the second end. The orifices in each of the first portions and second portions are equidistance circumferentially from each other defining rings. The rings are equidistant longitudinally from each other in each of the portions and the rings are longitudinally spaced differentially in the adjacent portions. The plurality of orifices direct fluid flow through the tube to yield a high flow velocity in predetermined areas along the length of the filter assembly.

Filter media support core

A filter element having an end cap is provided with a seal that can better accommodate non-round holes. The seal may be a chevron type seal and/or other similar seal having a sealing flange for forming a radial seal. Methods of replacing a filter having an O-ring gasket to improve upon sealing are provided as well as filtration systems employing the filter element.

Multi-stage filter element

A filtration device that includes a pressure vessel having an inlet and an outlet, the filtration device configured to filter a pressurized fluid stream. In an embodiment, the filtration device has at least one disk-shaped filter element housed within the pressure vessel arranged to filter fluid flowing from the inlet to the outlet, and an inlet flow tube disposed within the pressure vessel proximate the inlet tube, wherein the inlet flow tube is configured to direct the pressurized fluid stream from the inlet tube towards a central portion of the at least one disk-shaped filter element.

Natural gas production filtration vessel and assembly

A filter element that includes a disk-shaped filter medium having an axially upstream surface, an axially downstream surface, and an outer peripheral surface extending axially therebetween. An embodiment of the filter medium has a radial inlet flow surface formed along the outer peripheral surface. Further, there is an inlet flow surface formed along the axially upstream surface, wherein a fluid is able to flow both radially and axially through the filter element.

Disk-shaped gas production filter elements

A system for measurement and analysis of pipeline contaminants is provided. The system includes a first assembly for engaging a pipeline from which a first fluid flow sample may be isokinetically collected for measurement of aerosol contaminants. The system also includes a second assembly for engaging the pipeline from which a second fluid flow sample may be collected for chromatographic analysis of the aerosol contaminants. The system may further include a third assembly for engaging the pipeline from which a fluid flow sample may be obtained for measurement of solid contaminants. Information on aerosol contaminants and solid contaminants can subsequently be used to select an appropriate extraction technology to control the presence of aerosol and solid contaminants within the pipeline. Information from the chromatographic analysis, on the other hand, may be used to identify the origin of the aerosol contaminants, so that corrective measures can be implemented to minimize the presence of aerosol contaminants within the pipeline. A method for measurement and analysis of pipeline contaminants is also provided.

Systems and methods for measurement and analysis of pipeline contaminants

A system and method of monitoring contaminant particles in pipelines. The system can include a probe for extending into a pipeline, and sampling fluid in the pipeline to ensure that a representative amount of contaminants within the pipeline can subsequently be measured. An analyzer receives the sampled fluid from the probe, illuminates the sampled fluid with a light source, and collects scattered light from any contaminant particles in the illuminated sampled fluid. A detector receives the scattered light from the analyzer, and converts the scattered light into an electrical signal that is proportional to the contaminant particles size. A processor receives the electrical signal from the detector, converts the electrical signal into digital data pertaining to the contaminant particles, and transmits the digital data on an Ethernet connection, or wireless signal to a communication network for distribution to at least one digital data processor for display and evaluation.

Systems and methods for remote monitoring of contaminants in fluids

The present invention relates to an apparatus for filtering a gas or liquid stream such as a natural gas stream. The apparatus includes a closed vessel having a longitudinally extending length, an initially open interior, an input port at one extent and an output port at an opposite extent thereof. A partition located within the vessel interior divides the vessel interior into a first stage and a second stage. At least one opening is provided in the partition. A filter element is disposed within the vessel to extend from within the first stage. The filter element is easily mounted or removed from the vessel by rotating a J-slot engagement surface on the element which mates with a mounting structure provided in the vessel interior.

Filter element and mounting method

The present invention relates to an apparatus for filtering a gas or liquid stream such as a natural gas stream. The apparatus includes a closed vessel having a longitudinally extending length, an initially open interior, an input port at one extent and an output port at an opposite extent thereof. A partition located within the vessel interior divides the vessel interior into a first stage and a second stage. At least one opening is provided in the partition. A filter element is disposed within the vessel to extend from within the first stage. The filter element is easily mounted or removed from the vessel by rotating a J-slot engagement surface on the element which mates with a post provided on a mounting structure provided on the vessel partition.

A filtration vessel is shown for use with a rotary screw compressor which receives a compressed liquid/gas mixture from the compressor. The vessel utilizes a first stage vortex knockout region to remove bulk liquids through a circular motion which imposes centrifugal forces on the gas and liquid mixture. A coalescer region located above the vortex knockout region receives the relatively lighter fluids and separates any remaining entrained liquids from the fluids. The discharge from the filtration unit is an essentially liquid free compressed gas. The liquid discharge, in the case of lube oil can be recirculated to the compressor for another cycle.
