This invention relates to an improved construction of finger and toe housing devices. It is adapted to be readily applied to the ends of fingers or toes for protecting injured and wounded areas. Still another aim of the invention is to improve and provide a housing construction that may be economically manufactured and sold to be worn in order to protect and enable the wearer to perform their duties in the home and office, requiring the use of the hands and legs during the recovery period. Still a further aim of the invention is to provide a strong protector of the class described of self-contained resilient molded bead-spine-hinged connected section having yieldable means of holding the sections in applied position with the built-in rear locking system 2 and 13, beyond the last joint of the finger or toe. Both sections 1 and 10 provide a convex apertured portion adapted to house the injured finger or toe during the recuperation period. Still another aim of the device is to provide a strong, protective and completely encased storage holding area for the injured fingers or toes to heal safely and comfortably.

An ice cream cone product is provided having a sanitary paper jacket adhered thereto which is sufficiently adherent for shipping, handling and vending but which is selectively removable without leaving jacket remnants thereon at the point of consumption. A jacket is telescopically juxtaposed over the cone after the jacket interior is dosed with water vapor or steam. A conveyor for the cones, a timed dispenser and injector for the jackets placing the latter alternately on the same conveyor with the cones, a device to combine each jacket with a cone and an accumulator for the jacketed cone product comprises the apparatus to practice the method.

A serving kit and package for confections includes an unfilled ice cream cone nested in the bottom of a conformally shaped conical jacket which is scored for separation along an annular line located below the rim of the ice cream cone. The upper end of the cone jacket is shaped to receive a snap-on lid, the latter being supplied together with a spoon or other eating utensil to complete the serving kit. Frozen dessert above the cone rim can be eaten with the spoon and then the package can be separated to consume the filled ice cream cone in a conventional manner.

A package for a plurality of unfilled ice cream cones is fabricated from a conventional frustoconical tub, an insertable annular stand and a ported keeper disk resting on the stand for holding interspersed inverted and right-side-up stacks of nested ice cream cones. The array of cone stacks is preferably an upright center stack surrounded by alternated inverted and upright stacks. The upright stacks are cushioned from one another at the upper ends thereof and the inverted stacks are canted outward by the keeper disk to make room for the upright stacks. A heat sealable cover and overlying lid are provided to complete the package.

Package for ice cream cones

A bulk package for stacked and nested ice cream cones is provided for transporting and dispensing the cones in which a plurality of folded foam sandwich structures each defining a row of cells holding one cone stack to a cell are inserted into an outer container to form a matrix of cells therein. In one embodiment, the sandwich structures and the outer container are sized such that a forced fit is developed between them to cause the cells to close down on and immobilize the stacked cones. The outer container is split open on two opposed sides at the point of use of the cones to relieve the forced fit and permit vending of the cones from the cells by gripping individual cone apices. The outer container is provided with an easy to split sidewall structure, if desired. In another embodiment the force fit is secured by comb-shaped clamps which close down the cells. Spacers are provided in both embodiments to hold the plastic sandwich structures in place when a lid is placed on the outer container.

A conveyor for the cones, a timed dispenser and injector for placing the jackets alternately on the same conveyor with the cones, a device to combine each jacket with a cone and an accumulator for the jacketed cone product comprises the apparatus to practice the method.
