A fluid dispensing container and method for its manufacture is disclosed. The container has an upper and lower portion defining an enclosed chamber. The upper and lower portions are sealed together. An expandable pouch for generating pressurizing gas is contained within the enclosed chamber. A dispensing valve is provided housed in a receptacle molded into the upper portion. In one embodiment, a cylindrical guard molded to the upper portion extends downwardly from the receptacle and is disposed around the valve. A cap frictionally secured to the guard retains the dispensing valve in the receptacle and closes off the cylindrical guard. The guard or cap includes suitable apertures for allowing fluid to reach the valve for dispensing the fluid. The guard and cap prevent the expandable bag from interfering with the operation of the dispensing valve. A method of manufacturing the container is also disclosed.

Plastic dispensing container and method of manufacture

A dispensing system for use with a wide variety of dispensable products which employs an inflatable pouch positioned within the container containing a pressurizing gas phase. A product gas phase is incorporated in the expelled product to enhance the product appearance, functionally or safety. The weight to weight (w/w) ratio of the product gas phase to the flowable materials should be between about 0.001:1 to about 0.015:1 and preferably, the w/w ratio of the product gas phase to the flowable material is between about 0.001:1 and about 0.07:1.

Dispensing system with inflatable bag propelling mechanism and separate

A fluid-impervious self-inflatable sealed pouch containing separately compartmented first and second gas generating components which, upon admixture in successive discrete quantities, generate gas, causing the pouch to expand gradually from an initial collapsed condition to an ultimately fully expanded condition. Within the pouch is a mechanically rupturable solvent-containing member optimally including a measured quantity of one of said components and the other said component is enclosed by a water-soluble film barrier of polyvinyl alcohol, methylcellulose or the like, additional inner receptacles within the pouch contain measured quantities of said one component for successive release into said admixture caused by expansion of said pouch. A method is provided whereby the pouches are formed in a continuous manner from a plurality of film-like materials fed to respective successive work stations at which receptacles and/or containers are formed, components introduced, permanent and/or releasable seals are formed, water soluble barriers provided and completed pouches delivered in finished form in interconnected and/or severed, independent condition for further utilization.

Inflatable pouch and method of manufacture

The refill pouch is constructed of a flexible pouch containing a product to be dispensed and an expandable bag containing gas generating components for expanding the bag. Upon placement in a container with a valve, the pouch can be opened and the gas generating components activated. After dispensing of a product, the container can be emptied and a fresh refill pouch placed within the container.

Toilet bowl cleaners having inner and outer water-soluble envelopes are disclosed. The inner envelope contains a basic material and the outer envelope contains both the inner envelope and an acidic material. In use, the outer envelope dissolves and thereby releases the acidic material to clean the toilet bowl. The inner envelope then dissolves thereby releasing the basic material contained therein to neutralize the toilet bowl water.

The refill pouch is constructed of a flexible pouch containing a product to be dispensed and an expandable bag containing a gas generating system for expanding the bag. Upon placement in a container with a valve, the pouch can be opened and the gas generating system activated. After dispensing of a product, the container can be emptied and a fresh refill pouch placed within the container.

A fluid impervious expandable enclosed bag containing separately compartmented first and second gas generating components which, upon admixture in successive amounts, generate gas causing the bag to expand gradually from a collapsed condition to an ultimately fully expanded condition. The internal compartmentation in the bag also contains a solvent medium and a time release capsule of one of the components, thereby providing apparatus that can be mass produced and used for insertion into aerosol-type liquid product dispensing containers to provide relatively constant expulsion pressure during use.

A pad for treating surfaces such as floors or the like which includes a plate member of rigid material which is wrapped with a continuous ribbon of stainless steel which is relatively thin and narrow, the wraps extending in a circular manner successively over and under the plate member, successively and alternately, in random directions to build up a soft, cushiony mass of the stainless steel strip to a thickness such that the wound ribbon completely covers the plate member in a plurality of layers with the plate member disposed centrally within the mass to form a pad suitable for attachment to a floor-treating machine. This invention relates to an apparatus for treating surfaces and more particularly to a pad of stainless steel arranged to be mounted on a machine for treating surfaces such as floors.
