Apparatus and methods for collimation of x-ray beams. According to various embodiments, an x-ray apparatus may comprise an x-ray source, a first rotatable disk comprising a first plurality of angled slots, and a first shutter comprising a first plurality of protruding members. At least one of the first plurality of protruding members may be positioned within a first angled slot of the first plurality of angled slots, and at least one of the first plurality of protruding members may be positioned within a second angled slot of the first plurality of angled slots. The first shutter may at least partially define an x-ray collimation aperture, and the apparatus may be configured such that rotation of the first rotatable disk results in movement of the first shutter to alter a size of the x-ray collimation aperture. The x-ray apparatus may also be configured to be handheld.

Apparatus and methods for collimation of x-ray beams. According to various embodiments, an x-ray apparatus may comprise a first rotatable disk comprising a first plurality of angled slots and a first shutter comprising a first plurality of protruding members. At least one of the first plurality of protruding members may be positioned within a first angled slot of the first plurality of angled slots, and at least one of the first plurality of protruding members may be positioned within a second angled slot of the first plurality of angled slots. The first shutter may at least partially define an x-ray collimation aperture, and the apparatus may be configured such that rotation of the first rotatable disk results in movement of the first shutter to alter a size of the x-ray collimation aperture.

Apparatus and methods for collimation of X-rays

Apparatus and methods for providing a distance indication using an x-ray apparatus. According to various embodiments, an x-ray apparatus may be provided comprising an x-ray generator and a visible light generator. The apparatus may further comprise a projection member, such as a reticle, comprising a material at least partially transparent to visible light, wherein the projection member comprises an image positioned within the path of the visible light so as to project a secondary image comprising a shadow defined by the image. A LASER configured to deliver a LASER beam at an angle relative to the visible light may be provided such that the LASER beam intersects at least a portion of the secondary image at a predetermined distance from the LASER to allow a user to determine precisely a distance from the apparatus to an object to be exposed to x-ray radiation.

X-ray distance indicator and related methods

A decorative post includes an elongated outer polymer shell having at least one longitudinal groove extending a majority of a length of the elongated shell sized and shaped to hold a decorative fence panel. The decorative fence post also includes an elongated reinforcing member disposed in the outer polymer shell, and substantially extending a length of the fence post. A foam filler is disposed inside the outer polymer shell between the shell and the reinforcement member. An aperture is disposed in the outer polymer shell near an end of the reinforcing member, and a void extends from the aperture into the foam filler adjacent to and exposing an end of the reinforcing member. The void defines a slip zone at the end of the reinforcing member into which the reinforcing member extends as the outer shell shrinks longitudinally during post mold cooling.

Rotationally molded, reinforced decorative fence post and method of making same

A tamper resistant attachment apparatus for attaching a backrest to a chair frame. A flap is foldably coupled to an edge of a chair backrest. The flap is foldable over onto the backrest into a folded position. The flap has a channel that fits around a frame of a chair when the flap is in the folded position. At least one aperture that extends through the flap can receive a corresponding pin that is coupled to the backrest when the flap is in the folded position. The at least one pin is deformable to secure the flap and backrest around the chair frame when the flap is in the folded position.

Tamper resistant attachment device for a chair backrest

A chair foot device for a wire frame chair stackable with other wire frame chairs includes a lower surface disposable on a support surface. An upper surface, opposite the lower surface is sized and shaped to carry the lower surface of an adjacent foot from an adjacently stacked upper chair. The chair foot also includes an alignment protrusion disposed on one of the lower and upper surfaces and an alignment indentation disposed on the other of the lower and upper surfaces. The alignment protrusion is sized and shaped to be receivable within an alignment indentation of a corresponding foot from an adjacently stacked chair. The foot is sized and shaped to carry an applied load from an adjacently stacked upper foot and to transfer the applied load to an adjacent load bearing surface. The foot is also sized and shaped to protect the wire frame chair from damage during stacking.

The opposite plastic wallsandcan be made from a polymeric resin material such as thermoplastic or thermoset resin, and/or can be made from olefins, styrenes, nylons, or mixtures of these polymeric families. In one aspect, the opposite plastic walls can be formed from an olefin, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, or the like. In another aspect, the opposite plastic walls can be formed from a styrene, such as acrylonitrile or butadiene styrene, or the like. In still another aspect, the opposite plastic walls can be formed from a mixture of olefins and styrenes. The polymeric resin material can also be made from recycled olefin, styrene, or nylon products. It will also be appreciated that the material of the walls can include additives, such as glass, fiber, talc, UV resistive or protective materials, etc. In one aspect, plastic granules of different colors can be combined to obtain a wall color that is a composite color to more readily simulate another material.

A drop box for a rotational molding system includes a substantially rigid outer shell, a substantially rigid inner shell, configured to contain unmelted polymer material, and thermal insulating material, disposed between the inner and outer shells. Substantially rigid bridge material interconnects the inner and outer shells and forms part of the rigid structure thereof. The bridge material is configured to provide a thermal break between the inner and outer shells, to reduce heat transfer therebetween.

A locking mechanism for a support leg hingedly attached to a support surface includes a base, attached to the support surface, with a plurality of angularly spaced, radial teeth, and a coupler, attached to the support leg, having a plurality of angularly spaced, radial teeth configured to mate with the teeth of the base. A selectively releasable engagement mechanism is configured to engage and disengage the teeth of the base with the teeth of the coupler, to allow selective rotation of the support leg between an extended position and a folded position, and to lock the leg in the extended or folded position.

An upholstered folding chair includes a chair frame, a base member permanently attached to the frame, and an upholstered insert configured to slide into and removably interlock with either the base member or the chair frame. The base member includes a retaining rim, which covers and protects at least some of the edges of the upholstered insert, and the base member and upholstered insert may have interlocking members which become hidden between the base and insert when the two are interlocked together. The base can be either a back base for receiving and supporting an upholstered chair back insert, or a seat base for receiving and supporting an upholstered chair seat insert.

A folding chair has a rigid support frame with a curved spline profile, and a seat and rear legs which fold into a closed position and substantially collapse within a volume defined by the support frame to maximize stacking density, and to increase stability with the curved spline profiles nesting within one another. The support frame has first and second rigid side support members, each with an upper back support portion and extending forwardly to form front leg portions. The back support portion and the front leg portions are integrally and rigidly connected to advantageously form a curved spline profile. A seat is pivotally coupled to the support frame, or to and between the first and second support members. A majority of the seat advantageously collapses to a folded position within a volume defined between the first and second rigid side support members. Rear legs are pivotally coupled to the support frame, or to the respective first and second support members. A majority of the rear legs advantageously collapses to a folded position within the volume defined by the support frame between the first and second rigid support members.

Storable folding chair

A folding chair has a support frame with a back support portion, front leg portions, and rear legs. A seat is pivotally coupled to the support frame. A flexible back support is coupled to the support frame, and has a lumbar support member extending down from the back support to reach a lumbar region of a user's back. The lumbar support member extends from the back support into a space between the back support and seat. The seat pivots in a downward direction away from the back support and lumbar support ID member, so that the seat folds without interfering with the lumbar support member. The back support also has a perimeter flange disposed across the rigid back support perimeter, and free to move with respect to the rigid support frame in response to a load applied to the flexible back support. The perimeter flange extends across a gap created between the flexible back support and the support frame, such that when a load is applied to the back support and the back support flexes, causing the gap to open, the perimeter flange conceals the gap as the flexible back support goes from a loaded position to an unloaded position, thereby preventing pinching of articles of clothing or skin of a user.

Folding chair with lumbar support and flexible back support

A folding chair has a support structure with a back support portion and leg supports. A stabilizing seat is pivotally coupled to the support structure. The seat has a seating surface, and at least one upper projecting alignment member configured to substantially engage a second chair to stabilize and prevent relative lateral movement between the two chairs when in a folded and stacked relationship.
