A wearable Doppler blood flowmeter can be used with an inflatable cuff to measure blood flow, such as for assessing peripheral artery disease (PAD). The present approach can include techniques such as providing or using a wearable acoustic Doppler blood flowmeter, without requiring the intricate manipulation of a handheld Doppler probe. The system can select a pair of acoustic transmitter and acoustic receiver from a set of more than two transducers, including one or more of different locations, orientations, or spacings, such as to vary a targeted region. The RF echo response signal can be translated to an audio response signal. An audio response signal injection circuit can adaptively inject a noise or other enhancement signal, such as to help improve perceptibility of an audible characteristic of pulsatile arterial blood flow. A trained machine learning model can be employed to select or adjust operating settings, to assess diagnostic information, or both.

Steerable wearable doppler ultrasound velocimeter

A blood flow stimulator may help encourage blood flow in a limb of a patient. The blood flow stimulator may include a housing configured for sealing about the limb of the patient. The housing may include a sealable volume, and the sealable volume may receive the limb of the patient. The blood flow stimulator may include a seal, and the seal may be coupled with the housing. The seal may engage with at least a portion of the limb, for instance to segregate the sealable volume from a surrounding environment of the blood flow stimulator. The blood flow stimulator may include a conduit extending through the housing. The conduit mat help provide access to the sealable volume, for instance from the surrounding environment. In some examples, an adjustable stent is utilized to enhance blood flow within vasculature of a patient. A stent operator may change a size of the stent.

A blood filtration system can reduce the amount of plasma constituents (e.g., water and/or electrolytes) in the blood of the patient, and accordingly increase the hematocrit value of the patient. The blood filtration system (e.g., a controller, or the like) can determine a hematocrit value of a patient. The blood filtration system can determine a venous pressure of vasculature of a patient. The blood filtration system can compensate for pressure head in a component of a blood circuit (e.g., a withdrawal line of a catheter), for example to improve the accuracy of the venous pressure determination. The blood filtration system can determine one or more resistance characteristics of a blood circuit for the blood filtration system. The resistance characteristics can correspond to a resistance to a flow of blood through a component of the blood circuit.

Blood filtration systems

A blood filtration system may to couple to an infusion pump that is external to the blood filtration system. The blood filtration system may include a blood circuit, for instance a variable-volume blood circuit. An infusion port may be in communication with the blood circuit and may receive an infusion fluid pumped by the infusion pump. A filtration pump may extract a filtrate fluid from a filter. The filtrate fluid may include filtered plasma constituents. A fluid characteristic sensor may measure one or more of pressure or flow rate of the infusion fluid pumped by the infusion pump. A controller may monitor the fluid characteristic sensor to determine a change in the pressure or flow rate of the infusion fluid. The controller may modulate a speed of the variable-speed filtration pump based on the change in the pressure or flow rate of the infusion fluid.
