Flow monitoring device

A flow sensing device includes a first body member defining an inlet port, an upstream sensor port, and a first connecting port; a second body member defining an outlet port, a downstream sensor port, and a second connecting port; a flow restricting element defining a flow restricting passage and including a first end connection coupled to the first connecting port and a second end connection coupled to the second connecting port, such that the flow restricting passage is disposed between the inlet port and the outlet port, and between the upstream sensor port and the downstream sensor port; a first fluid sensor assembled with the upstream sensor port; and a second fluid sensor assembled with the downstream sensor port.

Fluid monitoring module arrangements

A fluid monitoring module includes a flow sensing device and a controller disposed in an enclosure. The flow sensing device includes a body including an inlet port, an outlet port, an upstream sensor port, a downstream sensor port, and a flow passage disposed between the inlet port and the outlet port, and between the upstream sensor port and the downstream sensor port. A first fluid sensor is assembled with the upstream sensor port, and a second fluid sensor is assembled with the downstream sensor port. The controller is in circuit communication with the first and second fluid sensors for receiving at least one of pressure indicating signals and temperature indicating signals from each of the first and second fluid sensors, and for measuring fluid data based on the received signals.

A fluid component includes a cross-shaped body having laterally extending first and second flow ports and axially extending first and second access ports. The first flow port connected in fluid communication with the first access port by a first branch port. The second flow port connected in fluid communication with the second access port by a second branch port. The first and second access ports are connected in fluid communication by a convoluted flow restricting passage extending generally axially from the first access port to the second access port.

A valve actuator includes a valve body, a valve member comprising a shaft, and a piston connected to the shaft, with the valve member being movable by operation of the piston. The valve body comprises a valve chamber that provides fluid communication between an inlet passage and an outlet passage. The shaft is disposed in and extends through a sealed chamber, the sealed chamber being sealed at one end from the valve chamber and at another end from a piston chamber, and a vent that extends from the sealed chamber to an external surface, wherein the shaft extends axially in both directions past sealed ends of the sealed chamber.

Ball valves that include a gland that is interposed between a spring and a seat. The ball valves include a valve body, a ball, a valve seat, and an annular spring. The spring urges the gland member toward the valve seat to urge the valve seat toward the ball.

The present application relates to valve and actuator assemblies. The valve actuator assemblies may include a capless valve actuating arrangement, include a replaceable passage defining member that includes seal members, include a valve member that is assembled in a valve chamber from an end of the valve body that is opposite an end that a piston is assembled in, and/or include a valve member that may be rotated in a valve body without affecting the ability of the valve member to perform its sealing functions.

Valve and actuator assemblies

A bridge fitting for use with two or more surface mounted components includes a housing having at least a first port disposed on a first side of the housing, at least a second port non-coaxial with the first port and disposed on a second side of the housing opposite the first side of the housing, and an internal fluid passageway connecting the first and second ports. The internal fluid passageway is configured to limit fluid flow within the bridge fitting to a single path between the first and second ports.

Modular surface mount fluid system

The present invention provides for a bridge fitting for use in a fluid manifold system for being in fluid communication with two or more surface mounted fluid components having an inlet port and an adjacent outlet port. The invention also provides for a housing with a first port connected to a second port, with an internal fluid passageway joining the first and second ports and at least one projection extending from the housing. The bridge fittings may be mounted in a channel block having a groove and an aligned hole for receiving the projection. Another embodiment of the invention provides for a modular surface mount check valve with a valve body having a mounting flange connected thereto, the flange being substantially planar and having an inlet passage located about the center of the flange and an outlet passage located adjacent the inlet passage. The body further comprises a valve chamber in fluid communication with the inlet passage and the outlet passage, the chamber further comprising a valve seat formed at the juncture of the inlet passage and the chamber, and a poppet positioned in the chamber, and a spring mounted in the valve chamber for biasing the poppet towards the valve seat. The invention also provides an air actuated surface mount flow control valve comprising a valve body having a mounting flange connected thereto and the flange being substantially planar and having an inlet passage located about the center of the flange and an outlet passage located adjacent the inlet passage, the body further comprising a cavity in fluid communication with the inlet passage and the outlet passage, a stem positioned in the cavity, and a spring mounted in the cavity for biasing a first end of the stem in sealing engagement with the inlet passage and the outlet passage, the stem further comprising an internal fluid passageway in fluid communication with an actuator fluid compartment located under a lower surface of the stem, and the external source of pressure.

Rotary handle device includes a coupling mechanism between the handle and a driven member. The handle is rotated about an axis and can also be axially moved between first and second positions. When the handle is in the first axial position it is operatively engaged with the driven member, and when the handle is in its second axial position it is operatively disengaged from the driven member. The handle drives the driven member via a coupling mechanism in the form of a keyed coupling between the handle and the driven member. The handle can be locked or receive a lock out device against rotation when it is in its second axial position. The keyed coupling and/or the pin and track arrangement can be used to permit axial movement of the handle only when the handle is in a predetermined orientation. The handle mechanism is shown in combination with a rotary operated valve having a valve stem as the driven member.
