A test probe includes an electrically insulating handle, an electrically conducting blade extending from the handle, an electrically insulating shroud including a first portion and a second portion that are at least partially disposed around the electrically conducting blade. A housing is attached to the handle such that the first portion of the shroud is disposed within the housing, and the second portion of the shroud extends from an aperture formed in the housing. A spring disposed between the handle and the shroud biases the shroud toward the aperture formed in the housing. The shroud protects the electrically conducting blade from unintentional contact with a conductor during testing. When the test probe is correctly positioned on a device being tested, the shroud retracts into the housing exposing the electrically conducting blade. When the test probe is moved away from the device, the shroud returns to its original position.

A reversible test probe and test probe tip. In one embodiment, a test probe tip is reversible relative to a test probe body. The reversible probe has a first probe tip at a first end and a second probe tip at a second end. The test probe body has an opening operable to receive the first probe tip and the second probe tip. When the first probe tip is positioned in the opening, the first probe tip is electrically coupled to a metal device in the test probe body. When the second probe tip is positioned in the opening, the second probe tip is electrically coupled to a metal device in the test probe body. In another embodiment, a test probe having two test probe tips is reversible relative to a test lead.

Embodiments of the invention describe an electrical audio connector assembly used in a variety of applications, such as for connecting audio components for transferring audio signals. For example, microphones may be connected to other electrical components by XLR connectors or a phone line. An electrical audio connector assembly includes an XLR connector or three pins and an RJ connector mounted on opposite ends of a body structure. Three metal binding posts project from the body structure, and are conductively coupled to both the XLR connector and the RJ connector.

A lighting assembly and its method of manufacture. The lighting assembly has a heat sink. A plurality of surfaces are disposed on the front of the heat sink. At least one first surface is oriented in a first plane and at least one second surface is oriented in a second plane. A first plurality of light sources are mounted to at least one first surface. A second plurality of light sources are mounted to at least one second surface. As a consequence, light can be directed in two distinct directions to create a discernable high beam condition and low beam condition. A space is defined in front of the light sources. At least one heat exchange element is provided that protrudes forward from a heat sink into the space thereby helping to vaporize any condensation that may form within that space.
