A system and method capable of distinguishing sources in a multiple source environment is provided. The system receives an audio signal comprising an audio tag, a desired audio signal and an undesired audio signal. Based on the audio tag, the system eliminates the undesired audio signal and identifies an intended command in the desired audio signal. The system generates a command for an external device based on the intended command.

System and method to distinguish sources in a multiple audio source environment

Provided is a compact display system and method for creating, with minimal volume, a focused, high quality, full color, large FOV virtual image characterized by eye-limited spatial resolution. The provided compact display (i) enables a flexible range of eye relief, and (ii) enables a large exit pupil.

A compact proximity display system and method that employs an image transfer device is provided. The system and method employs an image transfer device, such as a fiber optic device, which enables remotely locating an image generating source from the display assembly that is mounted on, or proximate to, the helmet bubble, thereby reducing the amount of components located proximate to the helmet bubble. The system and method minimize the intrusion of the entire display system into user's viewing area, and increase safety.

Compact proximity display utilizing image transfer

A space suit helmet capable of meeting the demands of future space suit helmet display requirements in a decoupled-helmet, helmet-mounted design with sufficient eye relief is provided. A display system and a redirecting assembly are coupled together and mounted to the helmet. The display system generates an image and the redirecting assembly orients the image with respect to a predetermined valid eye location volume within the helmet.

An image stabilization and tracking system includes a primary imaging detector, a stabilization and tracking detector, an image processing and correction command control, and an adaptive optic device. The primary imaging detector is configured to detect, within a field of view, images of a primary object in an optic image. The stabilization and tracking detector is disposed outside of the field of view, and is configured to detect images of a tracking object in the optic image. The image processing and correction command control is coupled to receive the images of, and is configured to detect relative movement of, the tracking object. The adaptive optic device is coupled to receive correction commands and is configured, in response thereto, to move and thereby vary a position of the optic image.

Image stabilization and tracking system

A method and system to evaluate stare-time of a selected target by a pointing system is provided. In an embodiment, the method includes specifying a time period for evaluation. A processor simulates movement of selected celestial bodies during the time period and movement of the platform during the time period. The processor further simulates pointing the pointing system in each celestial direction during the time period. The method calculates stare-time in each celestial direction uninterrupted by the selected celestial bodies and the platform during the time period.

A space telescope system includes, but is not limited to, a support platform configured to orbit astronomical object, a plurality of mirrors mounted to the support platform and spaced apart from one another, the plurality of mirrors being configured to reflect a plurality of focused beams, and a focal plane image combiner positioned to intersect the plurality of focused beams and configured to combine the plurality of focused beams to form a composite image.
