A luminaire including a first power supply, a second power supply, a light source, a switching circuit, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the first power supply, the second power supply, and the switching circuit. The controller can control the switching circuit to remove a supply power from the first power supply, such that the second power supply provides power to the controller, in response to determining that the luminaire is operating in a standby mode, and control the switching circuit to provide the supply power to the first power supply, such that the first power supply provides power to the controller, in response to receiving a command to operate the luminaire in a normal operating mode, wherein the first power supply is capable of outputting more power than the second power supply.

A luminaire including an input driven in a first polarity and a second polarity reversed from the first polarity, a first light source coupled to the input and adapted to generate visible light within a first wavelength range at a first intensity when the input is driven in the first polarity and adapted to generate visible light within the first wavelength range at a second intensity less than the first intensity when the input is driven in the second polarity, and a second light source coupled to the input and adapted to generate light within a second wavelength range, different than first wave length range, at a third intensity when the input is driven in the second polarity and adapted to generate light within the second wavelength range at a fourth intensity less than the third intensity when the input is driven in the first polarity.

A light fixture includes a first phosphor-converted light-emitting diode ('PCLED') emitting light in a first PCLED wavelength range having first PCLED upper and lower bounds, a first direct light-emitting diode ('DLED') emitting light in a first DLED wavelength range having first DLED upper and lower bounds, a second PCLED emitting light in a second PCLED wavelength range having second PCLED upper and lower bounds, and a second DLED emitting light in a second DLED wavelength range having second DLED upper and lower bounds. The first PCLED upper bound has a higher wavelength value than the first DLED upper bound. The first PCLED lower bound has a lower wavelength value than the first DLED lower bound. The second PCLED upper bound has a higher wavelength value than the second DLED upper bound. The second PCLED lower bound has a lower wavelength value than the second DLED lower bound.

Light fixture with broadband and narrow band emitters

An LED light fixture comprising a plurality of LEDs mounted on a substrate, wherein the plurality of LEDs include a lime/mint light source accounting for at least 25% of the total lumen output, and a deep red light source accounting for at least 0.5% of total lumen output. The lime/mint light source preferably accounts for at least 50% of the total lumen output. The deep red light source preferably accounts for at least 1.0% of the total lumen output. The light fixture can also include other colors, such as 1% to 50% cyan, 1% to 20% red/red-orange, and 1% to 10% blue/indigo. In one embodiment, the fixture further includes a processor for calculating a color mix and driving the LEDs. Preferably, the processor is programmed to produce a color mix having a CCT in the range of 2700-6500K, a TM-30 (R) of at least 90, and a TLCI of at least 95.

Light fixture with LEDs of multiple different wavelengths

An LED lighting system including a first group of LEDs, a second group of LEDs, and a controller. The first group of LEDs and the second group of LEDs are configured to be independently driven by a first LED drive signal and a second LED drive signal, respectively. The controller is configured receive a dimming signal from a dimmer having a preheat function. The controller is also configured to compensate the dimming signal for the preheat function of the dimmer to generate a compensated dimming signal, generate the first LED drive signal based on the compensated dimming, and generate the second LED drive signal based on the compensated dimming signal. The first LED drive signal is then transmitted the first group of LEDs and the second LED drive signal is transmitted to the second group of LEDs.
