An animal collar assembly for monitoring the animal's behaviour and/or animal's health and/or animal's location, the collar comprising: an electronic module comprising a housing for enclosing electronic componentry therein, the electronic module comprising a first coupling arrangement for coupling to a collar strap adapted to be passed around a neck region of the animal; and a counterweight module having a weight that equal to or greater than weight of the electronic module, the counterweight module comprising a second coupling arrangement for coupling the counterweight module to the collar strap adapted to be passed around a neck region of the animal.

An animal ownership management system including an electronic tag configured to be attached to an animal, an accreditation database storing certified ownership data associated with the animal and the current owner, an animal monitoring database in communication with the electronic tag and accreditation database. The animal monitoring database is configured to receive the location of the animal, access the accreditation database and match the location of the animal with a location associated with a property of a new owner stored in the accreditation database, issue an electronic ownership transfer request to the current owner and the new owner, receive a confirmation from the current owner and the new owner, record the new owner as the current owner of the animal in the animal monitoring database, and transmit the electronic ownership transfer request to the accreditation database to record the new owner as the current owner of the animal.

Animal tag

An animal tag applicator comprising: first and second jaws for engaging an animal tag therebetween wherein the second jaw is movable relative to the first jaw for mounting said animal tag on the animal; a movable lever coupled to the second jaw, the lever being arranged such that at least a first movement of the lever results in a resilient bias being applied to the second jaw for rectilinear movement of the second jaw towards the first jaw; a stop member positioned relative to the second jaw member for maintaining the second jaw member in an intermediate spaced apart position relative to the first jaw to prevent biased movement of the second jaw towards the first jaw when the lever is in the actuated position; a trigger member coupled with the stop member such that movement of the trigger member into a triggered position effects biased rectilinear movement of the second jaw towards the first jaw when the lever is in the actuated position.

A method of analyzing an evolution of a biological system comprising the steps of determining a series of variables upon which a state of the biological system depends, mapping the variables to an n-dimensional space, and wherein the evolution of the biological system is monitored utilising a trajectory formed from sets of the variables which define the states of the biological system at different times, thereby using time as a parameter in the n-dimensional space in a manner such that every point on the trajectory corresponds to at least one value of time.
