A method and system for aggregating installation scopes within an isolation environment, where the method includes first defining an isolation environment for encompassing an aggregation of installation scopes. Associations are created between a first application and a first installation scope. When the first application requires the presence of a second application within the isolation environment for proper execution, an image of the required second application is mounted onto a second installation scope and an association between the second application and the second installation scope is created. Another association is created between the first installation scope and the second installation scope, and this third association is created within a third installation scope. Each of the first, second, and third installation scopes are stored and the first application is launched into the defined isolation environment.

A directory structure representing an application program stored by a remote machine and metadata associated with each file comprising the stored application program are received from the remote machine. The directory and the metadata are stored. At least one request to access metadata associated with a specific tile in the directory structure is received. The stored metadata is used to respond to the at least one request.

Method and a system for responding locally to requests for file metadata associated with files stored remotely

A method and system for accessing a file in a directory structure associated with an application includes a method of accessing a file in a directory structure associated with an application. A request by an application for access to a file is intercepted. The request is redirected to a first isolation environment. A determination is made that the requested file does not exist in the first isolation environment. The request is redirected to a second isolation environment responsive to a determination that the file is identified in an enumeration of a directory structure including a plurality of application files residing on a remote machine. The requested file is retrieved from a file server, responsive to a determination that the second isolation environment does not contain the file and that the file is identified in the enumeration.

Method and system for accessing a remote file in a directory structure associated with an application program executing locally

A medial ankle pad is provided for the medial side of the leg, ankle and foot. A lateral ankle pad is provided for the lateral side of the leg, ankle and foot. The pads are worn individually and/or together as a method of treatment for venous diseases. The pads are held in place by a constant pressure stocking, a gradient pressure stocking and/or by means of tape. The pads, placed under a pressure gradient stocking, apply even pressure to the skin around the ankle.

Ankle pad

An orthotic joint comprising a first member, a second member and an intermediate plastic member secured together by a pivot. The second member includes a cam follower affixed thereto. The first member and intermediate plastic member include first and second arcuate slots respectively. The first and second arcuate slots are aligned. The first and second members are rotatable with respect to each other. The cam follower protrudes through the second slot and into the first slot. The range of motion is determined by the length of the slot relative to the size of the cam follower.

Orthotic joint

An adjustable brace including a trilateral center segment, a first end segment and a second end segment. The first and second end segments include first and second springs respectively. The first and second springs are affixed to the first and second end segments. The first and second springs enable adjustment of the first and second end segments with respect to the trilateral center segment. Each of the end segments also includes channel means to prevent parallel separation of the end segments from the trilateral center segment.

Adjustable brace

An orthopedic hinge joint mechanism for proteciton of unstable or injured knees. Four coacting members are rotably fastened each to the next in a series. The first and third members lie in one plane and the second and fourth lie in an adjacent parallel plane. The members in the same plane abut in gears. As a result of this construction the hinge moves symmetrically about its center and effectivley simulates the complex action of the human knee joint.

Knee orthotic hinge joint

An orthopedic hinge joint mechanism to maintain knee stability and to protect the unstable and injured knee. Said hinge is comprised of two upright members articulating with two additional offset linkage pieces. This system is utilized separately or in conjunction to provide limited and controlled motion in the anatomical sagittal and frontal planes. It is covered with a flexible tubing and appropriately affixed to one or both sides of the affected limb to resolve instability of the knee due to ligamentous rupture or laxity.
