A caster arrangement for cabinets used on access or raised floors of a computer room or the like. The caster arrangement allows for a small, heavy cabinet to be situated on the panels of the access floor without applying concentrated or ultimate loads on the panels that may exceed the design characteristics of the panel and access floor. The caster arrangement allows for at most three casters to apply load to a given panel while the cabinet is being moved or has an arbitrary orientation.

Caster arrangement for use on access floors

A recessed hinge is disclosed that allows a door to open to an angle greater than 90 degrees. The hinge has a hinge pin with two free ends so that the hinge is also fully reversible, for use either on the right hand or left of an enclosure. The hinge also provides for simplified horizontal adjustment by having oval mounting holes for attaching the hinge to the enclosure, and the hinge provides for vertical adjustment by disposing one or more washers on the free end of the hinge pin. Vertical adjustment of the door as well as door removal may be accomplished without tools.

Adjustable and reversible hinge assembly

A system of ancillary cabinet for use with an uninterruptible power source (UPS) is disclosed. The ancillary cabinets have modular and reversible features that facilitate the installation of an uninterruptible power supply. The frames for the ancillary cabinets use a galvanized riveted frame design. The frames use pop rivets to allow the units to be shipped flat and assembled easily in the field. The overall size of the ancillary cabinets are consistent with the dimensions of a UPS cabinet. Specifically, the depth and height of the ancillary cabinets match the UPS. Also, the overall cabinet design matches the style, color, and texture of the UPS cabinet. The ancillary cabinets may be bolted to each other and/or the UPS cabinet to form a specific UPS system. The cabinets are serviceable by front access. An inter-cabinet wiring trough (wiring access) in the ancillary cabinets matches up with the UPS.
