The player makes a wager to not only play the game but also to determine the total number of possible replacement cards that will be dealt. After dealing of the original cards, the player selects cards in the hand to hold and discard. The player is then dealt replacement cards and the number of cards dealt corresponds to the amount of the wager. If the player wagers more, then the player receives more cards, which in turn results in the player having more cards per card position. The player has the option of using any one of the one or more replacement cards dealt to each card position, to form a best hand from all the possible combinations of the cards such that replacement cards dealt to a particular card position can only be used in the card position to which the card was dealt.

A gaming device and a method of playing a gaming device which includes a game having a plurality of presentations associated with outcomes or combinations in a game. The default and alternate presentations include probabilities of being selected by the processor. In a game, the processor predetermines the winning outcome or non-winning outcome to provide to the player and then selects one of the presentations associated with the determined outcome. The gaming device selects the presentation based on the probabilities of being selected associated with the presentations. The gaming device then provides any award associated with the determined combination to the player.

A gaming device and method having a selection award revealing bonus game, where during the primary game the player is awarded indicators. The gaming device reveals the values associated with selections in the bonus game, and the bonus game is initiated upon the player accumulating a predetermined combination of indicators. The player is allowed to pick the selections which the associated values have been previously revealed to the player and the gaming device provides awards associated with the picked selections to the player.
